Chapter 22 - Luna Lovegood

Kaiser escorted Hermione out of the Library after they heard Viktor's love confession for her as he later on even redacted a poem to honor her beauty trying to woe Hermione like that.

They arrived at the portrait of the Fat Lady before parting ways as Kaiser forgot about what he wanted to learn because of what Viktor did and Hermione blushing didn't help him at all either.

He arrived at the door to his common room and solved the riddle before entering it. Then he walked pass the bookshelves containing the books left behind by the former or current students when he remembers why he was back in the Library.

'I forgot completely about the magic theory I wanted to study about,' thinks Kaiser before stopping in his tracks and turning to the bookshelves and looking left and right making sure nobody was around before pulling on a children book which nobody would touch.

Behind the book was a keyhole and Kaiser puts the key given to him by Morrigan into it opening the secret library hidden in the Ravenclaw Common Room.

He steps through the entrance before it closes behind him and he walks up toward the vast library hidden behind the bookshelves which was enhanced further by Logan.

Kaiser walked down the aisle until one of the books was covered in some curious red energy making Kaiser pick it out of all the books.

He looked at the cover which seemed to have a weird door or tooth with a dot in the middle on it when he reads 'Conjuring Tome' on it when Kaiser says, "This could help me."

He continues walking down the aisle hoping to find some more books or tomes which could help him when he found another three books before leaving the secret library entering the common room again finding the same blond girl he encountered infront of the door to the common room the other day.

"What are you still doing awake?" asks Kaiser curious to find out since it was their second encounter with this mysterious girl who seemed to not have noticed Kai until he talked to her.

She gave a slight jump upward from the scare of Kaiser appearing out of nowhere when she recovers and says, "I was chasing some Wrackspurts roaming around the common room."

"Wrackspurts?" asks Kaiser a bit confused since he never heard of them.

"They are invisible creatures that enter your mind through your ears making you feel unfocused and confused to drive them off you need to think of positive things," says the girl as Kai was thinking hard over what she just said.

"Well, I have never encountered a Wrackspurt but they sound quite nasty if you ask me," says Kai as he stretches his hand out to the girl while saying, "We never introduced ourselves. I am Kaiser Masters as you might already know and you are?"

"Luna Lovegood," says Luna hearing Kaiser not ridiculous her for what she just said.

"But they aren't as nasty as Nekkers if you ask me. Those corpse eating bastards only appear as a group and if they bite you it is over for you except you have the ideal Potion at hand to treat said wound," says Kaiser remembering fighting a big group while destroying a nest.

"Nekkers?" asks Luna curious as Kaiser placed the books away for now and sits down at a table hinting Luna to join him.

"They are small creatures that resemble Goblins just in height but are deformed if I were to show you one you would have nightmares for weeks. But they aren't as bad as that black mare that I tamed in Velen. That mare made shivers run up and down my spine everytime I found it," says Kaiser as he remembered his horse which he tamed after three months of encountering the wild spirit.

He wasn't allowed to bring it to this world since it could bring destruction to his world but it must be back in Velen again tormenting the monsters and people that live there.

"A black mare can do that?" asks Luna curious and confused at the same time thinking Kaiser was talking about a simple horse at the moment.

"Oh, it can, that mare was special since an ancient spirit lives in it. She is keeping order in Velen a place I was trained for a while since many creatures often roam those lands. It was keeping the balance until I tamed it with a bit of help from Fenrir but still it could kill easily with just its presence as it did before going by a story my teacher told me," says Kaiser seriously as he saw curiosity in Luna's eyes when he notices that someone was coming their way and it wasn't a student but the Head of their House.

"We should retreat to our room or Professor Flitwick will have our heads for being out of bed at this hour," says Kaiser remembering that it was already quite late.

"Right," says Luna as she felt disappointed that their conversation was cut short when Kaiser smiles at her.

"Don't worry I won't disappear from one day to the other. Have a good night Luna, see you tomorrow," says Kaiser as he leaves for his room trying to not get caught by Flitwick while Luna went to her room as well.

Back in the dormitory Kaiser began to go through the books one was a technique that relied on a different energy source but could be replaced by mana which Logan explained in the tome as not all of his grandchildren were born with a mastery over said energy.

The second tome had a blue crystal on the cover which picked Kaiser's interest as it surrounded around Espers and their ability to summon mighty Beasts or God's in the eye of the people.

And then came the last tome which Kaiser picked up which talked about the Plain of Oblivion and the Daedric Princes inhibiting that Plain.

Kaiser just shut the book the moment his eyes fell on the Daedric Prince of Madness not wanting to mess with this kind of Magic ever or at least until he was older and wiser to be able to deal with those monsters.

Kai concentrated all of his mental strengths on the first and second book trying to comprehend the theory behind it before falling asleep with one tome lying over his face while the other was on the ground having fallen from his grasp.

Ben was looking at Kaiser confused seeing Asgard's Champion looking more like a bookworm instead of a Warrior at the moment as he was snoring loudly when one of the Prefects enters their room.

"Is Kaiser awake yet? He needs to get his wand weighted before the first trial. The other Champions are on their way already," says the Prefect named Marcus Turner as he looked into the room.

He saw Kaiser still snoring while his face was covered by a book which meant that he fell asleep while studying when Marcus approaches Kaiser he hears a growl coming from Fenrir who was laying beside the bed already awake protecting Kaiser in his sleep.

Kaiser wakes up after hearing Fenrir's growl when he stretches his hand out and Jörmungandr suddenly flies from behind Marcus toward Kaiser's hand surprising the Head Boy.

As Kaiser leans forward while giving a yawning from himself before looking at Jörmungandr and says, "Bad Snake, you wanted to attack one of my schoolmates."

Marcus was surprised by what Kaiser just said as he stand up from his bed before popping his bones while revealing his muscles which were hiding under his clothes which weren't normal for a Wizard when Kaiser says, "You said something about wand weighting when you entered the room."

Marcus snaps out of it and coughs flustered while Kaiser places Jörmungandr on the bed while Marcus nods, "Yes, the others must be waiting already for us."

"Then lead the way," says Kaiser following Marcus while the others were rather curious about Kaiser's wand since he normally uses no wand to do magic in class.

Kaiser was lead into the Great Hall were the others were already waiting for him and Marcus as Kaiser only yawns in front of everyone showing no interest in this event since he is forced to participate in this tournament.

"Let's get this behind us. I still need to study on something more important than this tournament," says Kaiser in a not interested tone while Loki only glared at him for wasting their time.

"Garrick Ollivander will now test all of your wands to make sure that they are fully functional so no malfunction happen while you participate in your first trial. Tomorrow the first trial will start," says Dumbledore informing them all as Ollivander takes a step forward ready to do his examination of the wands.

Everyone presents their wand except for Kaiser who scratches the back of his head a bit confused since he doesn't own a wand when Loki says, "Kaiser present your staff."

"Right, it could be considered as a wand," says Kaiser as he stretches his hand out and light seems to run toward Kaiser's hand before forming into a staff when Kaiser taps the ground and the light disappears and only the staff remained having on one end a blade while the other end had a dark red foci stone.

It was a replica of Abigail's staff which she used to train him Blood Magic and other forbidden arts which Logan wouldn't approve off.

The group looked at the Staff of Parthalan in surprise since staff weren't used in modern wizard community since they were quite impractical compared to wands which could be carried around easily without anyone noticing it.

Ollivander took a look on the staff as he did with the other wands before when he asks curiously, "What wood was used as the base?"

"To be honest, I don't know. I was gifted this replica by my teacher's wife while she was teaching me. If you want to know I would suggest you ask her yourself when your chance arrives," says Kaiser sounding mysterious to everyone except for Thor and Loki who know that everyone had to meet Abigail sooner or later without exception.
