'How good is Tier 4 talent?'

'I'm going to go take a walk before I see what level of things I can kill to raise my talent. Cultivation would be useless with this potential. It would also be good to level up.'

My new family was called the White family. We used to be one of the prominent households in the capital, but my dad didn't have the greatest potential, and I was measured to have none at all. That was the last straw, and now we were basically a slightly richer commoner household. We had quite a big house, but we were starting to run lower on money because our business was doing worse, and we had to keep paying for maids to clean our house. We now had only about three maids to cook and clean.

Now most of the noble families mocked us, saying that even commoners had better talent than me. Which was actually kind of true. It is quite rare for someone to have no talent at all. Most people have at least Tier 1 talent. The highest tier talent on this continent was a Tier 18 talent. That person became the emperor of the strongest empire on this continent. He ruled for 2000 years before he decided to go to other continents that were stronger than ours.

I walked out into the courtyard and saw a maid scrubbing the walls. "Hello!" I said.

"Ah, Young Master you're awake! I should go tell Master!"

"It's fine you don't have to tell my father. I'm just going on a walk."

"But Master would probably be mad if I didn't tell him!"

"Whatever you can just go tell him. But I'm leaving now. Bye!"

"Have a nice walk Young Master!" She said as she bowed to me."

'It's so weird to see someone bowing to me and calling me Young Master.'

'I wonder what I'll find in the city. These robes are still a little too flashy for my taste, but oh well.'

'I should go and find a snack. I'm getting kind of hungry.'

I walked into a small restaurant that had a pretty good smell coming from it. When I walked in, everybody looked over at me, and then looked away in a hurry. I guess I am still from a noble family after all. Even though it is declining, my great grandfather helped the emperor a lot during a war with the neighboring country, so that's why they were still considered a noble family even though they declined a lot.

My great grandfather died during the war, and my grandfather was still only at the late soul transformation stage, while most of the family leaders were at early soul ascension stages. The emperor was a 6th stage soul ascension stage. The second strongest person, the leader of the Miller family was only at the 3rd stage of soul ascension, so nobody wanted to mess with the emperor.

I walked over to a table and a waitress came over to ask me what I wanted. I could tell she was kind of scared because she was looking down and was shaking a little bit. "Can I get some scrambled eggs and bacon and some water to drink please?"

"Y-yes s-sir." She replied.

'It looks like everyone is scared of me here. Probably because I'm a noble. Ah, whatever. There's nothing I can do about it.'

A little bit after the waitress came over with a glass of water.

"T-the food w-will be ready in a l-little bit." She said shakily.

"Thank you." I replied, flashing her a smile. She seemed to lighten up a bit after I smiled at her.

I drank the water as I waited for my food to be ready. It tasted better than the water I had on earth. 'I guess this is one of the benefits of a cultivation world. I wonder if the food will taste good as well.'

I got the food and ate it. It was really good. The waitress came over and said, "Sir, the meal costs 80 copper."

"Alright," I said handing over a silver and 80 copper.

"Ah, sir you gave me an extra silver." She said flustered.

"No, that's your tip for being nice," I replied.

"Thank you, sir!"

I was about to stand up when I saw somebody come in while a waitress was walking past the door carrying two glasses of water. The guy that walked in bumped into the waitress and the water spilled all over him. "Ah, I'm so sorry!" The waitress said while looking at the guy she spilled water on.

"You'll have to pay for another one!" He yelled at the waitress.

I stood up and walked over while saying, "Dude chill out. It's just a water spill."

"Shut up fake noble!" He yelled at me.

"You better take that back, Jack," I said, starting to get angry. I knew this guy. He was from the Smith family. He was a jerk to most of the commoners. Most likely because he only had a Tier 1 talent, and was only at the first stage of body tempering.

"No way." He replied whilst looking at me.

I didn't need the system for me to make the decision to beat him up.

"No one talks bad about my family." I walked towards him and punched him in the face. He probably could have blocked it, but it seems he wasn't expecting me to do anything. That one punch knocked him right off of his feet. I grabbed him by his robe and pulled him out of the store. He tried to struggle but I punched him every time he tried to get up. I pulled him out of the store and punched him right in the face again, but this time harder. He was knocked unconscious.

Ding... "Hosts talent has been upgraded to Tier 5 Talent"

Ding... "Host has leveled up. Received 5 attribute points."

'Well, that worked out well. Guess the stats really are useful. Good thing he was trash.'

I walked back home and into my room.

'I'm going to try to cultivate, and if it's too slow I'll go out and see if I can get some talent points.'
