Every mortal has a life energy inside them called Flow. Living beings can manifest their life energy, casting out abilities from their bodies into the world.
Individuals utilize these powers in various ways; some might be similar or the same as those of previous Flow users, such as two people who can use fire as the source of the Flow.
They might have the same powers, depending on their use. Let's say one user is casting fire from their hands, but the other is creating fire from their feet. Not a single Flow releases the same, even if their abilities are the same.
Flow doesn't resist the simultaneous use of different types of magic, such as ice and water. However, the flow will drain quickly, making it risky for most to expand their unique powers.
The Five Basic Flow Techniques are the only ones that would not drown your Flow quickly by using different types of Flow.
These five basic techniques are,
1. Sight — an individual who can feel the presence of danger before it happens.
2. Basic Teleportation — an individual who can teleport objects from one place to another.
3. Telepathy — an individual who can communicate with another individual with their mind. Both parties need to have telepathy to work.
4. Basic Elemental Control — an individual who can use natural elements as their Flow abilities.
5. Basic Summoning — an individual who can summon weak flow monsters.
As their name suggests, these are the basics that beginner Flow users can learn before they find their unique Flow abilities. Skilled Flow Users master these basics with their powers, making them a strong, advanced version of themselves.
There are three advanced versions of basic flow abilities.
1. Advanced Teleportation — An individual who can instantly teleport themselves anywhere they have visited.
2. Advanced Elemental Control — An individual who can turn their bodies into natural elements.
3. Advanced Summoning — An individual who can summon strong monsters to aid them. Takes an extraordinary amount of Flow to summon.
The difference between the basic and advanced versions, besides being stronger, is about how Flow energy passes through the body. For example, basic fire casting involves pulling energy into one place to activate it. In contrast, advanced fire casting consists of transforming your body into fire. You need to guide the Flow everywhere inside your body to activate your ability—the same with Advanced Teleportation. Unique Flow powers are typically advanced.
By doing this, an individual's energy can drain quickly, so they must wait for it to recharge again to cast abilities or consume any solid or liquid. (e.g., Alucard's blood consumption to activate his blood techniques).
Many flow techniques have a final ability of a person called the Ultimates. An individual needs to yell the Ultimate's name to activate the power. It would only start if it did that.
Ultimates consume lots of Flow from getting triggered. Sometimes, it may deplete fully charged life energy, so people need to consider when to use it.
Ultimates can change by unlocking new and more powerful abilities through training, and their perverse ultimates become their regular techniques. They might become weaker than before, but they wouldn't drain an individual's energy or require yelling to trigger them.
Some people can't use their Flow energy because it's locked inside their body, so they must first unlock it by training before using it. How do you train, you may ask?
There are teachers and masters worldwide who would help someone unlock their hidden potential.
Alternatively, if they don't learn with teachers, they train themselves, but this's much harder, so people tend to choose the latter.
That's just for unlocking their life energy to use it. After that, individuals need to train harder to use their powers properly. It would take a very long time to open Flow and master it.
If you want to avoid going through the training Flow completely, there is an alternative called Flow Weapons.
They are weapons that Flow Energy makes into solid objects. They can cast powers out like any Flow users. But most of the time, the weapon holders are weaker than those who unlocked it.
Since the individual is not utilizing their life source but rather imitating Flow from science experiments or someone else's source, it becomes significantly weaker compared to when they used their Flow. Weapon holders also need to train to unlock their full potential.
Few Flow weapon holders are stronger than most skilled Flow users.
These are a few examples: Excalibur Clockwork, Durandal of the North, Merlin, etc. These guys can defeat most of the skilled Flow users.
Flow is a very ancient source of power that the God of Creation left after he created the worlds, gifting the mortals these special life energies, who can cast abilities from their bodies.
These powers shaped every world's nature, culture, beliefs, people, animals, and development. So, yeah. Flow energy is very important!
