Weekend came, and Uchenna was looking forward to going over to Jumoke's place, not because of the food, but because he was going to be spending time with her. The thought made him ecstatic.
He took a bottle of red wine with him as he went by late afternoon, and by the time he got there, Jumoke welcomed him with a smile that made his heart melt. He loved her smile, well, just like she liked his. God, he was falling deeply for this woman.
"You're right on time," she said, stepping aside for him to go in.
"I brought wine."
"That's thoughtful, thanks," she said, taking it from him and gesturing for him to have a seat.
"This has to be one of the best moi moi I've ever had," Uchenna said as he polished off the last of the moi moi Jumoke had served him.
Jumoke started laughing. "Ha, come on, stop whining me." She stood and carried their dishes to the kitchen.
