Chapter 185 - Chapter 185: final group 4

[Kitsu's POV]

"So they said a level 800 is in here," I muttered, looking at Mom next to me.

"Yeah, they said this should be the strongest group out of the four," Mom said, making me raise an eyebrow at her.

"Only because of one person?" I asked, shaking my head.

"No, there are quite a few angels in it as well," Mom explained, shrugging.

"Yeah, so? They aren't very strong themselves, though."

"It depends on what class they have." Mom countered, making me shake my head again.

"Yeah, but most holy classes are only rare, so they have low stats. Some of them are higher, but none have legendary classes." It started making me a bit confused as well.

"Yes, but rare classes are still good if they put in enough training." Mom said, smiling at me.

"True, true, but then again, there is a reason why the federation still hasn't won a battle against the Draigs." I countered sarcastically.

"Haha,"

"Now then, are we going to the VIP section or normal stands?" I asked, not sure where we were walking.

"Oh, the special VIP section, of course." Stacy said, grinning.

"Okay, let's go then. The battle will start any time now." I was quite excited about seeing potential entertainment.

"Kitsuna, remember what I told you." Stacy said, looking at me sternly.

"Yes, yes, there is always someone stronger than you in life. I know that by heart already; give it a rest." I said, a bit annoyed that she always brought the mood down.

"Just making sure." Mom said, grinning at my annoyed expression.

"Ah, here we go. Go down there and turn left and go up." Mom explained, pushing me forward.

"Okay, but why must I go first?" I said, a bit weirded out by how she was pushing me forward.

"Just go."

"Fine." I led the way, following her instructions.

After about 5 min of walking and going up a lot of stairs, Mom pointed at a door.

Again following her directions, I opened the door and was surprised but at the same not surprised at the daggers flying my way.

The surprising part was that they flew at me very fast, though not fast enough that I couldn't just flick it away.

"Tsk, she used a human shield." gruff man's voice said in annoyance before just going back to his seat.

"Hello guys, how are you doing?" I said as Mom came out from behind me.

"We already said hello, but we are doing well." The leading female said, coming closer to us.

"Oh, that's good to hear."

"So who are these guys, Mom?"

"Well, they are special generals."

"Yes, I presume so." I said, looking at the three. One female Oni and two guys. The female, although elegant, was by far the most dangerous one of the three.

The furry guy that talked first, well, he looked like a big teddy bear. He was human but had a lot of hair, and I mean a lot.

The last one wasn't even looking at us but at the front with full concentration.

Not thinking much about it, I nodded at the Oni while holding out my hand for a handshake.

"Oh, not introducing yourself." She said while shaking my hand.

"No point, I know you have been following me around a few times."

"Oh, you knew." She said, quite surprised.

Not saying anything, but my smile grew quite a bit.

"Oh, she got you, Samantha." Mom said, laughing.

"Heh, it seems so." She said, grinning back at me.

"Alright, guys, get to your seats; the tournament will almost start." The quiet guy said for the first time.

"The commentators aren't even in their booth yet." I said, looking through the window opposite the commentators' booth.

"They will be here in 3 seconds," the guy said, not looking up at us.

And just like he said, 3 seconds later the door opened inside the booth with Kayda and the other guy coming in.

"So you're like a sensor or something." I asked, taking a seat next to him with Mom and Samantha sitting on the other side.

"You can say that." The man said, not disagreeing.

"Huh, there is still so much I need to learn about what classes exist in this world." I said with a small chuckle.

"You will never know all of them." The guy said, looking at me with purple eyes that turned to green and back to purple.

"Oh wow, those eyes really give no privacy to other people." I said, chuckling, having a hunch at what they can do.

"What?" Samantha muttered, looking at me with wide eyes; the guy himself was surprised at what I said.

"How?" he muttered with a shocked expression.

"Oh well, there are a lot of things that exist; eyes that change color can mean a lot, and seeing as you have sensor ability, I just assumed that your eyes are the reason and they can change what they do by color." I said, shrugging at him.

"Stacy, you got a good successor here." The guy said, grinning widely at me.

"Who said I will be the one taking over? I actually thought of giving Zagan that job." I said sarcastically, but the killing intent I felt was definitely not sarcastically implied.

"If you do, I will rip him apart as fast as you breathe." The gruff guy muttered, annoyed.

"I can breathe quite slowly if needed." I joked, grinning at the gruff guy.

"Tsk, you must be blood." The guy said, looking between me and Mom.

"Haha," we both laughed, hearing his statement.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Let us get the group 4 battle royal on the road!!"

"Ah, finally they are starting." I chimed happily while the commentator was doing his thing.

"Can all the contestants come to the arena?" The announcer said over the mic.

"Man, I hope it lasts longer than the Kitsuna and Amaris battles." Samantha said, sighing.

"What? Mine lasted quite long." I interjected, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"No, no, it did not. Amari's fight was by far the fastest so far, and then yours, but most battles for the under-16s are over 20 minutes long, not just 5 minutes." She explained, shaking her head at me.

"Seriously, that long?" I said, quite surprised, looking at Mom.

"Yes, normally it's like that, but with all the Marquis house children this year, it was bound to go faster than normal." She explained, shrugging.

"Well, there is none in the last group, so you never know; it might be quite a long battle." I chuckled, smiling, hoping for something fun to happen.

"Yeah, with a possible level 800 in it, I doubt it," she countered sarcastically.

"Well, you will never know; maybe it's just some common class kiddy that decided to come and show off." I said with a small laugh, not believing my own words.

"As if. There is no way a common class can even get to level 800." Samantha countered, shaking her head and not believing that it could happen.

"Never say never." I said, grinning at Samantha.

"I guess that's true; it can happen." Mom said, looking at me knowingly.

"Oh, here he is." Samantha said, looking at the group of angels walking in.

"Heh, to think they will send their little prodigy out to us." Mom said, laughing hysterically.

"Mind explaining?"

"Well, that guy is actually 16 years old, and he is also a reincarnation."

"What?"

"His name is Logan Major Peter, an orphan. I don't know his previous name, though." Mom explained with a broad smile.

"I see, so he was adopted by the angel faction?" I said thoughtfully, having a hunch where this was going.

"Probably."

"Well, with the angels circling around him like that, I would think so." Samantha added, shaking her head.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, it seems the contestants are ready. Let's begin the blood splatters!!!" The commentator yelled with bells going off, starting the massacre.
