The sound of Richard's swift movement immediately startled the sentry hidden among the branches a hundred meters away. The sentry quickly put down the tooth necklace he had been fiddling with for a long time and looked towards Richard, who was approaching in the form of a black shadow, instinctively shouting out.
But Richard completely ignored him, darting past the sentry in the blink of an eye, continuing forward.
The sentry was stunned for a moment before reacting, leaping down from the branch and desperately pursuing Richard, but due to the speed difference, he was being left farther and farther behind.
