The growl was not one that came from somewhere of actual fear or anger. Midnight was just frustrated that this thing had appeared and blocked her.
Even worse, she had wasted another appraisal scroll figuring out that it was just a pest that was bothering her!
The long dark legs and green colored wings would be interesting to some who studied the odd monsters that the party found in the outer elemental planes. But this thing was even stranger and could only feed on mana from other living beings. It was called an elongated mosquito, and the longer limbs and needle like nose made it stand out.
It was like it had been stretched out more than it should be. Its reach was longer because of that and it could temporarily use the manas it absorbed for a short while before it was forced to release them. Therefore, it constantly had to absorb new mana by stabbing in to the bodies of other monsters or in to softer materials.
