"Our friend Sun has failed this time. He failed to stop the Tiger King."

They all could see it. On a cold and quiet night, Second Tiger pushed open the door leading to Tiger King's room. He then walked over to the Tiger King and removed the layer of clothes covering his back.

Soon after, something happened which is too inappropriate to be discussed. As a result, the Tiger King let out cries of pleasure and was so loud that the entire tribe could hear them.

Several breaths later...

"Chi chi!" Su Ling'er couldn't contain her laughter as she covered her mouth with her hands. Tears were starting to form at the corner of her eyes as a result of trying to hold her laughter in!

She never expected this monkey to be such a great Alchemist and talented in so many other aspects. He was so witty to be able to base an entire story on how close the tiger brothers were. In fact, he even managed to compose a tune and lyrics based on it.

Soon after, the few Sky Demon Tribe elders were holding their stomachs and laughing hilariously.

Second Tiger was clutching his chest as if trying his hardest not to vomit blood. His killing aura was emanating from his body as he glared at Xu Que.

At the same time, the Tiger King perched atop the altar felt immense anger welling up within his heart as his soul strength shattered from the lack of concentration once again. He looked down and saw that he had managed to activate two Lightning Pools. However, he had lost connection with one of them due to his lack of focus. The other was still successfully channeling electric energy with him via the altar.

However, this was still a failure to him. Along with the five waves of Tribulations and the one Lightning Pool which he managed to activate, he only had six points. This meant that he had the same points as Su Ling'er.

This meant that he failed to achieve victory over her!

In that moment, the Tiger King was enraged as he reared his head back and let out a huge shout. His eyes were bloodshot with killing intent as he glared at Xu Que down below.

He badly wanted to rush over to Xu Que and rip that darned monkey into pieces. He would then boil him even before he had the chance to die.

It was a pity that a huge surge of energy from the Lightning Pool was still connected to him. Before the channeling was complete, his body was still connected to it and his physical strength was still being tempered by the Lightning Pool. This meant that he couldn't leave the altar.

Right at that precise moment when the Tiger King was fuming, Xu Que then stood up and held onto to the Qin with one hand, next to his right leg. In the crowd, a Tribe of demonic humans which were half sloths and half humans were laughing so hard their eyes squinted so small, they looked like mere slits. It looked exactly like their eyes were closed and that they were sleeping.

Xu Que watched them closely before pointing them out and shouting loudly, "Fall asleep your sisters! Come on, and sing together with me!"

"Monkey, we… We weren't sleeping. We were laughing too merilly…"

"Laugh your sisters. Quickly open your eyes and dance together with me! Sing along with me. Everyone sing together!"

As he spoke, Xu Que then picked up the Qin once more and looked like he was playing the guitar with the Qin. He was bobbing his head up and down, as his tail waved back and forth, like he was performing a live concert.

When the Sky Demon Tribe elders heard this, they realized that this was part of Xu Que's ploy to distract the Tiger King from successfully channeling energy from the Lightning Pools. They then started singing along together with Xu Que. All of them raised their voices towards the sky and sang, "Both were males, both were males. That's so gross, that's so gross!"

The elders started taking the lead, encouraging the rest of the audience to sing along with them. Most of the crowd had been led along by the joyous singing and the catchy tune as they started singing along as well.

Before long, the huge area by the Lightning Pools were alive with singing as the audience chimed in along singing loudly and happily!

The Tiger King was so furious he was about to go crazy. He bared his fangs and looked down at the monkey who was still singing joyously. It took him all of his willpower not to rush down towards the monkey and tear him into pieces and stick a thousand blades into his body.

However, the Lightning Pool had already been activated. In spite of his anger, he was already being baptized in electric energy and this had to wait for the process to be concluded before he could leave.

Current after current of electric energy surged over his body just like waves of water as they washed over him. Everytime a current ran across his body, his flesh would crack open and fresh blood oozed out uncontrollably like a wound!

He opened his mouth and swallowed a Blood Circulation Pill in order to allow his wounds to recover. His flesh and muscles were becoming stronger as well as he continued to withstand the assault of currents upon his physical body.

At this point, Xu Que who was beneath the altar was completely immersed by the attention he was receiving as the main singer.

His One Star Musician ability was extremely potent. He had even turned his Qin over and held it like a guitar, changing the entire atmosphere of the place to that of a rock and roll concert. In addition, everyone present started singing along, adding to the effect as the music reverberated over the entire area.

Everyone in the audience were shocked as they raised their head to look at the Tiger King. They realized that he had already completed the process and had already been baptized by one Lightning Pool. His Tribulations were over!

Xu Que was astonished as well as he shouted out, alarmed, "Fuck! You didn't get struck to death by the lightning?"

"Monkey, hand over your life now!" The Tiger King roared ferociously once more as he charged down from the altar. At that very second, his body moved so quickly that only his shadow was visible as he dashed towards Xu Que.

Xu Que's lips curled upwards. He was about to break out of the cultivation seal placed by the system and beat this Tiger King to death with his rod.

But before he could even speak to the system, a white ray of light flashed past him.

"Hand my sister over this second!" Su Ling'er replied coldly. She emanated killing intent from his body as well!

The Tiger King paused before laughing out loud, "Haha! You finally remembered you have a sister? Get out of my way now or I shall ensure you regret this your entire life!"

"If you dare to hurt even a hair of Xiao Qi, my Sky Demon Tribe shall declare war to Thousand Demons Tribe for all eternity and ensure you shall never have a moment of peace. You can try!" Su Ling'er didn't back down as she shouted out coldly.

In that moment, Xu Que realized this was the first time he had seen such a tough and hard side of her. The toughness of a Queen was not to be undermined. Indeed, she was a worthy Queen of a tribe!

Xu Que sniggered before replying, "You bunch of disabled animals. How would you know unless you've tried?"

"Are you speaking about yourself?" At this point, Second Tiger spoke out once more. He had a look of mockery as he asked tauntingly and laughed out.

Xu Que's eyes lit up, "Yo, for a disabled dumb person, you're actually rather smart. Not bad. The next contender, the Great Sage, Sun Wu Kong!"

The second these words were uttered, everyone in the audience froze and silence abounded. Soon after, the silence was shattered by laughter all around.

All of a sudden, someone reacted to this and shouted out happily, "Right! We can distract him and ensure that he fails in his Tribulations!"

Xu Que felt his scalp go numb as he heard someone shout back at him, "You're lying!"

In that instant, the clouds started to loom overhead and turned dark. The wind started blowing in a frenzy as streaks of lightning could be seen in the sky. The lightning looked almost as if a dragon was coursing through the clouds!

His Tribulations still hadn't arrived and yet such a violent outburst from the weather was already indicative of how powerful his Tribulations would be. It seemed like it was way stronger than Su Ling'er's Tribulations and more terrifying by several times over!

Chapter 142: I Shall Set A Small Goal

Her eyes started to well up with tears as she mumbled to herself, "I… I caused this. I shouldn't have brought him here to the Thunder Tribulations Worship…"

Up on the altar, Xu Que wore a look of helplessness as well, clearly not knowing what to do.

He then started to hear the system go off in his head.

"Ding! Congratulations to host 'Xu Que' for successfully acting tough. The reward is 40 act tough points!"

"Ding! Congratulations to host 'Xu Que' for successfully acting tough. The reward is 60 act tough points!"

Xu Que had seen this item before, but had ignored it because it was just a veil. He had never intended to purchase it since it looked extremely underwhelming. However, seeing such a powerful Tribulations ahead of him, he decided that his life was way more important than looking tough. Without a second's hesitation, he purchased the item.

As soon as he equipped the veil, a white ray of light enveloped Xu Que and surrounded him.

At the same time, Xu Que could feel his own magic resistance increase by 70 points. Along with the Spirit Visage which granted him 55 magic resistance points, he realized that his overall magic resistance was now 125. This was considered especially high!

The Tribulations in the form of lightning bolts descended down upon Xu Que with impunity. Xu Que however, didn't move a single inch. The protection from the Banshee's Veil filled him with confidence.

However, to everyone else watching from beneath the altar, all they could see was his shadow being overcome by the lightnings sent from heaven.

"It's over. Hahaha! This monkey is dead meat!"

The Thousand Demons Tribe members were all laughing out loud.

"Sun Wu Kong!"

Su Ling'er could feel a sharp pain in her chest as her heart ached for her loss. She shouted out in grief while watching on.

Come come come… I shall set a small goal for me to attain, for example, to survive nine waves of Tribulations!"

Xu Que had nowhere to hide. However, he wasn't planning on hiding as well.

He remained transfixed to the spot as he clutched his golden rod tightly, and would use his own body to defend himself against the next wave.

"What is happening? Is he going to stand there stupidly, praying for the best outcome?"

"Wasn't he going to use some sort of spell to defend himself against the lightning bolts?"

"He's as good as delivering himself into the hands of death!"

Everyone beneath the altar broke out in discussion once more as they sighed and screamed out.

"Boom doom!"

The second wave crashed down upon him once more unrelentingly, like a flood submerging everything within sight and burying the altar.

Xu Que's body disappeared from view once again!

Once the arcs of lightning had retreated, Xu Que's unwavering shadow came into view once again.

He survived again!

He's came out of it unscathed once more!

"Tell me, doesn't that make sense? I make several millions bucks within a minute, and yet I still have to stand here and wait for you to charge up your lightning energy. You can charge for the entire day and only manage to tickle me, is that fun for you?"

Many of the older generation recognized the violet hue of the lightning bolts and were all roused in shock and astonishment.

Xu Que looked up at the changes in the sky as well, as he saw the streaks of lightning and noticed that they were as huge as dragons. He hadn't even realized that they had taken on a violet- purple hue to it. The colour of the lightning bolt was so pure, that there wasn't any other colour to it. Just a small sliver of the purple lightning bolt was infinitely more powerful than lightning from the previous Tribulations added up. They bore a frightening image image into the hearts of everyone. It was an image of a Tribulation that was so powerful it could end the entire world.

The entire crowd beneath the altar couldn't hold it in any longer. They started to panic.

"Retribution, this is retribution from above. It's not a Tribulation!"

"That damned monkey went to incite the heavens. Now we shall all face divine retribution as a result.

"Divine retribution, our lives are all in jeopardy!"

"All of us here can quite possibly lose our lives. We're finished, we're finished. This monkey has caused a huge problem for all of us!"

Xu Que's expression remained the same however. A sense of crazed delight lingered within his eyes.

If only the God of Hell's Compulsion could absorb this particular wave of lightnings, that would be certain to cause huge changes to his powers!

Xu Que's expression froze as he waved his rod around before conjuring his Flame Devouring Waves and Corporeal Six Forms. His movements were frenzied to the extent that only the shadow of his rod could be seen, before his moving shadows covered the altar.

"I want the skies to obscure my eyes no longer!"

Xu Que shouted out in anger as he swept his rod in front of him in a circular motion. Numerous shadows of his rod finally merged into one, emanating an incredibly powerful energy which soared towards the sky!

"Boom!"

Even before the first purple lightning could touch him, it was overcome by the power sent out from his rod. As soon the force from his rod connected with the lightning, it exploded into numerous purple electrical currents and came down upon Xu Que, which started absorbing it immediately.

"I want this earth, to no longer be able to contain my heart!"

Xu Que shouted out once more as he swept his rod in another circular motion in front of him.

"Boom!"

The second purple lightning bolt exploded into fragments once more!

"I want every single living organism to understand my intentions!"

"I want all the gods above, TO. DISAPPEAR. LIKE. SMOKE!"

His shout was so deafening it could almost split boulders and rocks as he exclaimed sentence after sentence.

The remaining two purple lightning bolts broke and scattered as soon as Xu Que slammed the rod down onto the ground, as it exploded into electrical currents.

The crowd were once again stumped by his behavior.

He… He actually asked the heavens for his remaining two waves of Tribulations?

Right at that moment, a loud roar could be heard in the skies.

Everyone inclined their heads and were shocked by what they saw.

The movement and sounds of the thunder and lightning reduced significantly. The killing aura which had filled up the entire area just moments before had dissipated. The clouds which were so dense and caused everyone to feel choked were scattering as well!

"Yes. The clouds and thunder were already charging for the eighth wave. Why did it dissipate all of a sudden?"

The second these words were uttered, they were all so scared they turned as white as sheet!

Everyone around became alarmed.

Indeed, the thunder cloud which was supposed to have been scattered, started congealing together once more as it froze in mid air.

"I knew it was going to be this way. The monkey's evil tongue was too much even for the heavens to endure!" The people of the elephant tribe cleared their throat and spoke out.

"That's right." A man-snake along with the camel tribe nodded their heads profusely.

The eighth wave of Tribulations was about to descend!

Xu Que waved his golden rod in a flashy move before activating his Soaring Dragon's Nine Transformations and dashed towards the heavens. His killing aura radiated out in all directions as he charged straight at the clouds.

"NO! Where's my ninth wave?"

"Fuck! You really ran away?" Xu Que froze before starting to feel anxious.

However, the cloud didn't return this time as it scattered as fast as it could and returned towards the upper echelon of the skies. It seemed like it was truly afraid!

As for the rest of the tribes down below, they finally heaved a sigh of relief. They whispered to themselves that this monkey's Tribulations were finally over.

However, Xu Que was furious. He flipped both hands and conjured a mystical fire and shouted out angrily, "Run away your sister! Run away you retard! I shall blow you into smithereens!!!"

"After this, I realized who was the person who destroyed the spell wall of our tribe!"

"The terrifying amount of power, along with the familiar traces, I know who was behind it now too!"

"We were so apprehensive and nervous for many days, wondering which senior Infant Transformation cultivator came to seek revenge on us. After all of this, we realized that it was this monkey who blew it up."

The elders of Sky Demon Tribe were astonished as well. Seeing how destructive and powerful Xu Que was, their hearts started to tremble and they remained speechless.

Su Ling'er was present and saw personally how Xu Que conjured Buddha's Fiery Lotus and exploded their entrance, which was surrounded by a myriad of defensive spells.

Thinking back to how Xu Que often referred to himself as "The Great Sage from Heavenly Explosion Faction", Su Ling'er couldn't help but let out a giggle as she shook her head.

Soon after the explosion in the sky, the thunder cloud dissipated and Xu Que came down from the altar.

He could hear the system beeps ring out loudly in his head.

"Come, come, come!!! Let me shower in this energy and be baptized!" Xu Que smiled from ear to ear as he remained rooted to the spot. He was still swinging his rod in the air as his face revealed a look of pure excitement!

At the next moment, a loud "boom" emerged as Xu Que and the entire altar which he stood atop were drowned out by the nine pools of electrical energy!

"Ding! After detecting the strength of electrical energy, God of Hell's Compulsion has increased its absorption rate by two times!"

"Boom!"

Next, the boundless electrical currents swarmed overhead like water and gushed into every inch of Xu Que's skin and pores before entering his veins.

Xu Que stood right in the middle of all the activity as he absorbed all the energy present. His pupils were becoming bigger and bigger.

With the amount of energy coursing through his veins, he felt like he was going to explode. The veins and meridians within his body felt like they were being pricked by thousands of knives and needles as cracks started to form over his skin!

However, the passive ability of the Spirit Visage was extremely potent. It increased the healing of wounds at an insane speed. Hence, the second a crack or wound formed across his skin, it would recover at the next moment and heal up. This gave Xu Que first a sensation of pain, before he was relieved of the pain. "Boom!" An ear piercing sound was then heard coming out from his palms. The vortex was swirling with a frenzied intensity until it started to take the shape of a rotating sphere and was emanating a blinding ray of light.

Chapter 147: Creating A New Spell Is Extremely Cool!

All of a sudden, Xu Que's eyes lit up as he spoke excitedly, "System, system, hurry! I've got a good name for it."

"Please vocalize the name!" The system replied.

"...";The system paused for several seconds before responding, "Name registration successfully!"

The Thousand Demons Tribe members froze as they looked up towards the altar. With gritted teeth, they replied, "That's right. You are not worthy!"

"You're just a Golden Core Stage cultivator. How are you going to lead our race to greater heights?"

"Damned monkey, don't be foolish to think you can lead us!"

Facing these harsh words and threats, Xu Que only laughed coldly.

He then walked away from the center of the altar and flipped his hands, exposing his palms as he conjured a lightning ball -Monkey Blocks Lightning!

"I'm not worthy huh? Hehe��" He let out a cold grin before his expression turned severe. He then tossed the ball of lightning towards the Thousand Demons Tribe as he shouted out with all his might and gusto, "Fuck. Your. Mothers!"
