Their eyes were full of excitement and anticipation. Most of them had seen and heard about the might of the God Powered Cannon and now, Xu Que was going to use it to kill the Wind Chasing Sect disciples. Most of them were curious as to how it will turn out. Even Su Yun Lan was observing quietly.
Xu Que did whatever he did the last time as he took out the a single spirit stone and placed it within the cavity under the lid.
His face had an extremely pained expression on it which made all the Great Change Sect disciples blush from shame at his miserly actions. It was just a mere spirit stone. Do you have to look so pained?
Su Yun Lan couldnt help but to let out a smile as her eyes lit up in excitement while she watched every single action of Xu Que.
"Eh?"
The members of Wind Chasing Sect paused.
The few Original Infant Stage disciples also paused in shock.
"It was a cannon that used spirit stones to operate. There is more to that weapon than meets the eye!"
"Looks like its really not a normal weapon."
"Sect Leader, lets not waste anymore time and attack now. When we finally capture Su Yun Lan, you can also have your turn with her!" The few of them looked at Gu Gang and laughed sinisterly.

Beneath the vast skies outside of Great Change Sects domain, the entire group of Wind Chasing Sect disciples had been reduced to half. Of which, three of their Original Infant Stage cultivators had lost their lives to this single blast of the cannon.
But the Sect Leader Gu Gang, was still alive
"Aiyo! Fuck me!" Xu Que cursed out loud, attracting the attention of everyone around.
The Great Change Sect disciples all casted their glances at him as well and all of them were stunned.
His entire face was extremely apologetic as he shouted out to the Wind Chasing Sect Leader, "Oh man, Im so sorry I missed slightly. I only blew off one of your arms. But nevermind, one more round would do it!"

The entire area turned silent.
The disciples who managed to survive the first cannon blast were completely blank as to what had just happened.
Even the Sect Leader Gu Gang was completely caught off guard by the power of the cannon blast.

But even before he could look down at his injuries, he looked up at Xu Que whose face was extremely apologetic as he said That he missed slightly!
He missed? And only destroyed one of his arms? And that it didnt matter for another round would do it?
In that instant, Gu Gang was dazed.
He looked down at his injuries on the right side of his body. In that instant, what he saw was so shocking that his pupils dilated.
"Ah!!!" Gu Gang let out a shriek of agony.
The anger of losing his right arm coupled with the delayed pain caused him to lose his sense as he nearly went mad.
The most important thing was what Xu Que had said: "I missed. Another round should do it." It almost made him vomit blood.
The rest of the Wind Chasing Sect disciples regained their senses. Seeing everything before them, they froze in bewilderment.

With a loud roar, the bright golden light shot out from within the cannon and brushed past the right side of Gu Gangs body. At the same time, it managed to claim the lives of several Wind Chasing Sect disciples. It even successfully destroyed Gu Gangs right arm!

However, this time, he didnt look apologetic or regretful in anyway. That gave him away.

The person who suffered and lost the most was Gu Gang. The Sect Leader of Wind Chasing Sect was one of the most respected and illustrious men within Wind City. He never wouldve imagined that he would meet such an end today and was killed by a mere Golden Core Stage cultivator. Both his arms were shot off as he was thrown into confusion.
Gu Gangs face was filled with intense hatred and fury as he shouted out loudly, "Great Change Sect, just you wait. My Wind Chasing Sect will regroup and launch a come back. We shall fight till the death until we get our revenge. Just you wait!"
As he spoke, he leapt atop his flying sword and started to fly down from the mountains.
Still, Xu Ques monotonous voice which sounded like the god of death rang out in his ears once more as if he was claiming his life effortlessly.
"Please dont think about regrouping to launch a come back. Are you ready for the next round? Ready Go!"
"Boom!"
Following Xu Ques words, the God Powered Cannon fired for the third time.
A large golden ray of light shot towards Gu Gang with incredible speed invisible to the naked eye. It hit him from the pack and passed through his body. Like a single arrow piercing through two birds, the ray of golden light killed the last remaining Original Infant Stage cultivator as well.
At last, the few cultivators who managed to escape and were several hundred meters away were shot down from the air and died instantly as well.
The uneventful and boring battle ended this way.

There were five imperial tombs for him to trespass. The dangers of entering those were anything but mild.
Of course, he had to take revenge on the old Emperor and the Princess. Although the Emperor and Princess had betrayed the owner of this body and not himself, when he took over this body, he acquired all the memories and hatred as well. It was almost like he felt those emotions himself. All the hatred emotions were felt by him anyway.
Hence, he decided to take revenge for it. If he didnt, he would find it hard to sleep at night.

Besides, most of these spells required Qi to be charged before being released as an offensive action. It wasnt suitable for defending. The rest of the intermediate spells would easily cost 400 act tough points. Xu Que couldnt afford those.
Hence, he could only leave the intermediate section and return to the beginner spells section and choose from there.
Xu Que had initially thought about purchasing the Four Directions Desolation Spell for them but when he looked down, he realized that there were many beginner spells which he had never seen before. One of those spells could be used to defend and attack at the same time.

He turned around to leave and activated his Lightning Haste Spell as he soared up into the skies, his shadow gradually vanishing into the darkness.
"Sigh!" As soon as Xu Que left, a sigh could be heard from the corner of his compound.
The shadow of a person wearing white robes came out. Her skin was pale and smooth and her aura was anything but ordinary. It was the Sect Leader of Great Change Sect, Su Yun Lan!
Seeing Xu Que leaving the area, her eyes revealed a confused look as if she couldnt bear to watch him go. At the same time, she was rather vexed.

She gently pushed open the door to Xu Ques room and walked in slowly.
She then saw the present which Xu Que had left behind. This caused her to freeze for a second before she approached the table and picked up the letter. She sat on his bed as she gazed at the words written by him.
After a long time, Su Yun Lans expression fell as she whispered to herself, "Apart from the instructions to use the Divinatory Thousand Swords Spell, dont you have any other words for me?"
She then placed the letter down as she crawled into his bed.
Within the covers, there was still some warmth left behind by him. Su Yun Lan laid down on the pillow and pressed her face deep into the pillow, inhaling all of his scent deeply. Her face then blushed a deep shade of red.

The next day, the sky was bright and radiant.
Xu Que draped on his black robes and carried the dark buster sword. He was chewing on some foxgrass as he hummed a tune and walked across the mountainous roads.
He had already travelled non-stop for an entire night and was inching closer towards the imperial city.
He had finally reached the borders of the Fire Country. Not only were the borders desolate, the journey to the imperial city from here was extremely far. Even if he were to travel continuously for days and nights, he would take at least another month or two before he would reach.
However, Xu Que was mentally prepared for this arduous journey. He was also prepared to kill any demonic beasts who appeared so that he could accumulate more experience points and continue gaining levels.
Besides, his journey to the imperial city meant that it was paved with dangerous people.

"Thats right. After being here for so long, this is the first time Ive seen such an imposing entourage. Could it have came from the imperial city?"

The woman in white robes whose face was full of smiles asked softly, "Princess, your highness, who made you so angry? From the moment our journey towards Fire Country began, your expression was so sullen. Be careful that wrinkles dont sprout out since youve been frowning."
If Xu Que had seen the icy looking woman in the carriage, he would definitely pick up his great buster sword and smack her right in the face.

"What? Hes dead?" The silk robed womans cute eyes widened momentarily and was filled with astonishment.
The Flaming Sun Princess nodded her head with unnatural calmness, "I, too, just heard about the situation not too long ago."
The silk-clothed woman heard the princesss words. Her pupils constricted as she became silent for a little while before letting out a sigh.

He saw an old granny who was tightly hugging a ten year old child. Her eyes were flowing with tears and was pleading with the group of cultivators.
"Please let go of my grandson. I am begging you all. His father and mother, before their death, told me to not let their child ever cultivate. They wanted him to lead a normal life. I am begging you all. Please dont take him away." The elderly woman was crying very broken-heartedly.
A Golden Core Staged middle-aged man replied, "Old woman, you probably have no idea but this child has a once-in-a-hundred-years innate gift of cultivation roots. If he joins my Phaseless Faction as a disciple, he will definitely have a bright future and he will be stronger than his parents."
"No. I wont let him go no matter how strong he becomes. Leave." The elder woman became agitated by the minute.
The middle-aged mans expression became dull, "Old woman, all of us came here on the account of your deceased son and daughter-in-law. After all, both of them were disciples from my Faction. If you insist on being unreasonable, dont blame us for using force."
"If you people want to take him, take him over my dead body." The old woman insistently hugged the small child.
The child also opened both of his arms, shielding the old woman behind him. With a death stare at the group of cultivators, he shouted, "Don't bully my grandma! All of you are bad people! You all caused my mum and dad to die. Before they died, they told me to not talk to you people at all."
"Hehe Tong Tong, although the death of your parents was an accident, we feel very guilty. Thats why we are here to fetch you back to Phaseless Faction and nurture you to make up for your parents. Come, follow Uncle." The middle-aged man laughed.
The child immediately shook his head, "Im not going."
The smile on the middle-aged man disappeared quickly and intolerably ordered the few cultivators beside him, "Whatever, get him. But try not to hurt the old woman."
"Yes!" The few Core Bearing Cultivators replied at the same time and advanced towards the old woman and the child.
The old woman was still hugging the child tightly and she screamed while sobbing, "No, dont take him away! My only sons death was caused by you people. I cant make the same mistake and give my grandson to you all!"
"Thats beyond your control!" A few cultivators coldly replied and raised their hands to pull away the old woman.
This scene was all witnessed by Xu Que. His mood became vile in an instant.
Bloody hell! Theyre bullying an old woman in broad daylight and snatching away a child. These bunch of scums!
"Stop right now!" Xu Que shouted with the black robe donned and the Dark Heavy- Buster Sword on his back, advancing towards them with large strides.
All the cultivators were stunned momentarily and turned their heads.
The middle-aged man walked out of the group. At the same time, he gave Xu Que a few looks and frowned, "Friend, whatevers happening here is the problem of the Phaseless Faction. I advice you to not be nosy!"
"Who said I am being nosy?" Xu Que widened his eyes and rebuked.
"What brings you here then?"
"Daddys here for robbery! Everybody put your hands behind your head and squat down!"

The group of cultivators from Phaseless Faction all froze in their tracks.

Is he kidding around? Has this fellow cultivated so hard until hes gone insane?
As a mere Golden Core Stage cultivator, how dare you try to rob from us, the Phaseless Faction!?
The middle-aged man did not believe the robbery was going to happen. He looked at Xu Que coldly and replied with a deep voice, "My friend, I suggest that you mind your own business. This area is under control by our Faction. If you insist on being nosy, a signal is all it takes for our Factions Elder and his men to rush over here."
Xu Que was elated upon hearing that.
In the group, the person with the highest Cultivation Stage was the one standing right in front of him. He was a Golden Core Stage level 8 cultivator. The others were all in their Core Bearing Stage. Even if he killed all of them, the experience gained would only be very little and not sufficient enough to satisfy Xu Que. When Xu Que heard that their Faction could call for backup at any time, he felt that he couldnt ask better.
"Are you for real?" He asked the middle-aged man as he chuckled.
The middle-aged man narrowed his eyes, reached out a bamboo pipe from his embrace and pointed towards the sky before sneering, "You can try me."
"Stop talking nonsense already. Quickly call your Elder over here. Oh yes, if its alright with you, you can call your entire Faction over. The more, the better. Be quick, Im rushing for time." Xu Que laughed.
Everybody was stumped.
Another Golden Core Stage Cultivator walked out from the group and spoke to the middle-aged man, "Senior, there is no need to alarm the Elders. Although he is at the maximum stage of the Golden Core Stage, if we take him on together, we will be sure to bring him down."
The middle-aged man laughed coldly and nodded, "Hmph! I wanted to let him retreat on his own accord. Who knew this man is so oblivious of what situation he found himself in. Dressing so oddly and masking up his appearance. He could be a wanted criminal. If we take him down together, a prize reward could await our Faction."
Finished, he kept the bamboo pipe in his embrace as he laughed grimly and looked towards Xu Que.
Xu Que started to panic, "Please dont. Theres no meaning if you dont call for backup."
"Hmph! What an arrogant lad. Juniors, lets take him down together." The middle-aged man ordered deeply, concentrated his two fingers and down came a flying sword. It then flew towards the direction of Xu Que.
A few Golden Core Staged Cultivators emerged from the group at the same time. With looks filled with killing intents, they brandished their sharp-edged swords and surrounded Xu Que in all directions without giving him any way of escape.
The group of Core Bearing Staged disciples with cold eyes, looked on. Some of them even had taunting looks as they nodded mockingly while laughing, "This lad is really tired of living. He dares to challenge our Faction. With our Seniors attacking together, even strong Original Infant Stage level 1 Cultivators will find it a challenge!"
Xu Que looked at the few men trying to engage him in battle and inevitably let out a sigh, " Sigh what a hassle. Since you people are not calling for backup, here I come!"
Right after finishing his words, his figure suddenly became fuzzy. Akin to a fleeting shadow, he stepped on the lightning and abruptly advanced towards the middle-aged man.
"Dang!"
The middle-aged mans reaction was very quick as he struck Xu Que with his sword. But immediately, it was blocked by Xu Ques Dark Heavy Buster Sword. The impact numbed the mans arm and with a "Clang" sound, his flying sword fell to the ground.
"Senior, be careful." The remaining Golden Core Staged Cultivators witnessed the scene as their expressions changed and one by one, they rushed towards Xu Que with their swords raised.
With Xu Ques unmatched speed including the Thunder Flash and Thunder Blink spells, he appeared right behind the middle-aged man instantly as he let loose an explosive fist towards the middle aged man.
"Pffff!" The middle-aged cultivator could not even react. His face with filled with astonishment as he stared blankly while he witnessed his own chest being impaled by a big arm. His heart stopped on the spot.
His arm then grabbed onto the bamboo pipe within his robes and pulled it out.
The middle-aged man dropped on the ground. With a big hole in his chest area, fresh blood could be seen spilling all over.
Everybody came into a deadlock in a flash. They were all stupefied and their eyes were filled with utter fear.
"Ding! Congratulations to host Xu Que for successfully acting tough. The reward is 60 act tough points!"
"Ding! Congratulations to host Xu Que on killing Golden Core Stage Cultivator. The reward is 50,000 experience points and a Golden Core!"
Xu Que laughed briefly. In front of the frightened and shocked group, he held the bamboo pipe up high and from his palms radiated core energy.
"Go!"
Light could be seen escaping from the bamboo pipe into the air. A "Boom" sound followed. Akin to exploding fireworks, the streaks of light started to condense into the air, forming a red blood "Xiang" chinese character.
"Oh, this toys pretty fun. Does your faction have anymore of these?" Xu Que, grinning ear to ear, looked at the remaining Phaseless Faction Disciples.
Everybody was flabbergasted. They were thoroughly frightened out of their wits.
Never have they met a person with such a savage way of killing. With only a punch, he killed their Senior who was at Golden Core Stage 8. On top of that, he snatched his bamboo pipe and detonated the signal, helping them to call for backup!
Wh-What is happening?
Is this guy crazy?
Is he really out of his damn mind?
The tens of people all stood still on the ground with faces filled with shock and confusion as they stare blankly at Xu Que. They could not snap out of the situation for a long while.
In the end, a few of the Golden Core Staged Cultivators reacted and furiously shouted, "You dare to kill our Senior? We will fight you to death!"
The few of them brandished their flying swords followed by their figures moving upwards. They turned their heads and ran off.
"Eh" It was Xu Ques turn to become stunned. He pouted the side of his lips.
"Damn your mum. Wheres the trust between humans? Im sure they said they want to fight me to the death but they ran away in the end!"
Xu Que was speechless. He was too lazy to chase after them. He turned his head and looked at the remaining Core Bearing disciples. They were all tangled up like a ball.
"Will I be counted as being too cruel if I put my hands on you low-staged Cultivators? If word is sent out, everyone will laugh at me and term me as a bully. Its very bad for my reputation!" Xu Que muttered and looked at the bunch of disciples.
He asked awkwardly, "How about this, among yourselves, choose one person. I will spar with him one-on-one. If he wins, I will let all of you off."
"..." The group of Core Bearing Stage Disciples were speechless on the spot.
Sparring?
Our strongest Senior was killed in a second by you yet you have the cheek to ask one of us to spar with you? Damn you! No one can win you.
"Ill fight you!"
Suddenly, a skinny-looking disciple howled. He walked out from the group with an expression that did not fear death!
He brandished his flying sword and waved his arm. The sword flew out of his hands towards Xu Que.
The next moment, the skinny man along with the group of Core Bearing Staged Cultivators, one by one, started to rise into the air. As if with the same thinking as the Golden Core Stage Cultivators, they quickly fled too.
However, Xu Que did not have any intention to receive the flying sword. With the Lightning Haste skill, his body lightly moved. With a "Whoosh", he dodged the blade of the flying sword.
At the same time, he raised the Dark Heavy Buster Sword with his arms. He aggressively waved forward and immediately activated the Six Corporeal Forms. The towering shadow of the Buster Sword covered the heavens. With boundless might, it covered the skies.
"Boom!"
The shadow of the Greatsword crashed downwards and the group of Core Bearing Stage Cultivators were slammed. Under the frightening and explosive force, they exploded into mere fogs of blood in an instant.

Xu Ques lip corner moved and transformed into a cold laugh. He sneered, "Dumb asses, wanting to fool me with your crap of a trick? I was just too lazy to chase after the first group. Ill go to your Faction later on and kill all of you. Saves me the trouble."

Xu Que turned his head, only to see the old granny and the child along with the villagers who were hiding at the background, all staring at him blankly.
