Hmm......this sure is hard. Gazing at the noticeboard, the only available D-rank quest was a subjugation quest.

•kill 10 black bisons
•proof is their black horns and hooves
•reward is 5 gold coins
•time limit is 7 days/ one week
I thought i might now try other types of quest/mission but unfortunately...today seems my unlucky day.
[*sigh~* sure its is a bad day today—] but at least, i might now try getting out a reaper out of my inventory.
As far as concern, if the body is damaged but the horns are safe...then it's a win. So all i need to do is to aim for the bison's body, which will be done later on not by me.
Peeling off the quest, i then register it for my mission and went to where it can be found.
[But...Why does the bison had to be living in...a fucking mountain!!!!!????] when i asked the receptionist about the place where it can be found, she said at the...."Mountain of Death"......hey.....isn't that name too ominous? Moreover the place was too far....*sigh~*
[Should i try raising my rank just to get a diverse choice of missions? That should be it....] but i already registered the quest on my card so i should just work on it and stop my complaints.
Lifelessly leaving the guild building, i made my way to the inn and told the inn receptionist that i will be gone for a week. She deferred my stay....how nice.
Now then.....If in terms of pure mobility and flexibility when it comes to traveling...that guy should do.
Outside the outskirts of Miruzo City, there i decide to summon him.

A slender and sleekly designed titan was standing in front of me while a dome shield is activated around it like others, but noticeable on its back are thrusters that are capable of flight and dog fight. On its right arm is holding a huge Plasma Railgun capable of accurate sniping even at 10 km upon full charged.
Changing to the usual IMC pilot battle suit, i then hopped on his arm as he takes me to his opened chest cavity.

Oh? That's already active! How nice. So that means there really is a significant change from the game and here. Don't tell me....others are also like this?
There's only one way to confirm that but that's for another day, the purpose of deploying NorthStar is to give me a quick lift to the Mountain of Death. It's a mountain 50 kilometers to the west from the city of Miruzo.
Turning back to see Miruzo City...it was really big. I just confirmed it via NorthStars rangefinder that the area is so big that it reached approximately 50 kilometers by 60 kilometers. That's freaking big, but probably not as big as the island of New Zealand since that was bigger.
So back to the topic, NorthStar's Tactical ability, VTOL hover can be used indefinitely as long as i wish it to be, that also goes for its Core ability.

As the rocket thrusters boosted, NorthStar's chassis is slowly being lifted up, the ground below is slowly being blasted with a torrent of hot air as dust and whatever was there is devastatingly being blown away by the Thruster's jet power.
We are approximately hovering at a height of 10 meters.....then until it reached a total height of 50 meters up in the air.
[I see... after all it had a mass of like...5 adult elephants? That's to be expected] a titan's frame should have a mass of about 10 tons so the gravitational pull should also be the same as its weight. Applying the concept of physics, it should be 10,000 kg x 9.8 m/s/s = 98,000 kg•m/s/s that should be its weight.
Think of it, during the time the titan's are deployed it would always shook the ground as soon as they arrived at the surface of the land.
[Damn...] but that should not be a problem since NorthStar is the only one among the 7 that had the capability of flight and hovering at the air. Man's dream after all is to ride a robot that can fly to the skies!

The thruster's then increases the intensity of its push to the ground as it tries to repel the planet's gravitational pull, after reaching a height of 100 meters twice the height of hovering, the flight of the titan already became smoother and we are now traveling to where the west is.
[Strange...the ordnance ability can be activated while on flight...] on my view...its first skill was blinking blue as if it is ready to be fired at any time. Seeing a red dot on the distance, it was named black bear, i tried firing a swarm of it.

The black bear, which was the unlucky enemy, died after 4 cluster missile blasted near it. Poor bear.

Our flight speed has reached about 200 km/hour at the altitude of 500 meters up in the air. He was ascending to avoid any contact with potential obstacle like tall trees and such, that also includes monster that had long reach of attacks.
With an chassis integrity of 7,500... it is expected that the pilot will have to maneuver this titan carefully since it prioritizes mobility and offensive power over defense.
How do i describe the feeling of flying? Well...it's a bit nauseating. The cause was i tried to do a roll, which resulted to us doing a VTOL hover while on the way. Also, as someone who experienced what the roll means while flying on a plane, it really is nauseating that you would puke if you are not used to it. I wonder why the resistance skill didn't react with that situation?
[Waiiiiittttt!!!!! Slowdown!!!!!] decelerating due to my plea....urk.....uhhh...never mind, i will not omit what happened after that.
To conclude...i am actually not good with flying...that also goes with riding a ship or simply riding a train. I was fine when inside cars or the like but not on trains. Strange? But that is simply just how i am. Hence that is why i always carry medicine to alleviate that.
[descend to the ground....] slowly, NorthStar activated Vtol Hover and slowly he descended to the ground below us.
I felt regret that i do not want to fly to the sky like on my dreams, it is simply something I can't help.

Aiming his Plasma Railgun at the enemies...all were decimated. Coupled with his salvo of cluster missiles, the terrain around us was slightly deformed. It seems he overdid it. Of course as if he knows about it or aware of this but at least he did what i told him.
After a few minutes of recovery, we were then walking on an open stony mountain. The said mountain of Death is still 20 kilometers away.
Calling off NorthStar, i then went on foot while carrying the 4 rounded, Kraber Armor Piercing 50 calibre sniper rifle. It's heavy....
Nearing at the distance of 2 kilometers from the area, i can already see the said subjugation targets, the black bisons.
[They sure are large....] deploying an A-Wall in front of me, i then took sights of my target. It was the nearest black bison at the distance of 1100 meters or 1.1 kilometers , cocking the weapon, it was now ready to fire.
*Bang!*
A bright tracer bullet travels in a parabolic path as soon as i pulled the trigger, the recoil hurt my right shoulder but that should recover soon. But damn! That felt good, why? Well...the target is down.
Quickly heading to the area by parkour and grappling unto the stony terrain. I then arrived at the said mountain of death, quickly i found the body and stored it at inventory.
[Hehehe...hahahahahaha so only 10 are needed? But there's a whole herd in here!] on my map even though I can't see the targets physically, there are over 99 black bisons left just behind the mountain in front of me. Seems like the one i killed was astray from its herd.
Black bisons are generally C-rank when on herds, but they're D-rank
if they're alone and won't possess to much of a harm since their charging attacks are way too linear.
Gripping the weapon's stock in my hand, the real hunt for the black bisons will now begin shortly.
