Chapter 4 - Young Master, That Young Lady's Going to Destroy Our Villa

"The people at the stables said... she was riding a horse, galloping around the grounds." The butler spoke, his lips twitching.

Xue Feimo: "..."

The butler glanced nervously at his young master and continued, "Then she borrowed a lighter from the stable guys, saying that... saying that..."

"...To grill horse meat?" Xue Feimo raised an eyebrow and blurted out.

"!!! Not that, no. She actually asked them if the manor kept any wild game. Looks like she's planning to grill some wild animals on the estate."

The butler almost dropped to his knees when he heard about it.

Where did this weirdo come from?

She actually dares to freeload right under the young master's nose.

She's practically asking for trouble.

"..." Xue Feimo looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly.

The pen in his elegant hand spun like it had a life of its own, weaving smoothly between his fingers.

It moved lightning fast, but never fell.

Suddenly, the spinning stopped.

Something crossed his mind, and his thin lips parted, "Mm, don't worry about her."

The butler froze, but seeing his young master wasn't joking, responded respectfully, "Yes, sir."

Then he quietly left.

As the butler's footsteps faded, Xue Feimo got back to work.

It was as if nothing had happened just moments ago.

-

For six days in a row, the butler gave Xue Feimo daily reports about Luo Tiantian's shenanigans in the manor.

And just like that, he learned that the whole estate was pretty much in chaos because of that kid.

Not just the chickens in the coop or the fish in the pond,

but even all those seemingly ordinary, ridiculously expensive little animals...

She even managed to roast one of those metal chickens worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If the staff hadn't caught her in time, the other two would've been a lost cause...

The keepers were absolutely miserable these days.

Every night, someone had to take shifts staying up, worried their rare breeds might accidentally end up in Luo Tiantian's stomach.

"Young master, the manor's going to be ruined by this girl." The butler complained, aggrieved.

She's not eating wild game, she's eating pure cash!

If she keeps this up, she'll eat the entire estate into bankruptcy.

The butler worried endlessly about it.

"..." Xue Feimo pinched his aching brow, his eyes red with exhaustion. "Go on, I heard you."

The butler saw his young master's weary face and felt deeply anxious himself.

"Young master, your insomnia's getting worse. Except for a solid night's sleep a few days ago thanks to that girl, you've barely slept in days. If this keeps up, your body won't take it for long."

Xue Feimo paused at those words, but quickly composed himself. "Don't worry. I know my limits."

"Sigh!"

The butler heaved a deep sigh and left the room.

Ever since that incident ten years ago, the young master's insomnia had become severe.

At first, he could still get two or three hours of sleep a night.

But as he got older, things didn't get better—just worse.

So far, his longest record was: over the course of two weeks, he'd gotten less than three hours of sleep in total.

That's also what brought on a bunch of other tough-to-treat symptoms.

The worst of all is his anorexia.

If the old master hadn't arranged a world-class medical team for him—

With the young master not eating or sleeping, even the strongest body of steel wouldn't last long!

Right now, the old master and the master were both frantic, like ants on a hot pan.

They're terrified the day might come when the young must bury the young.
