As everyone knows, idols are most afraid of being in a relationship. Fans like them for their persona; they don't have solid works like actors or singers. Unless their skills are exceptional, it's hard to gain public favor based solely on their abilities, without relying on fans.
As soon as they start dating, whether they're top-tier idols or ordinary ones, especially if their partner isn't significantly stronger than the idol, fans will defect in large numbers. Dating is the biggest enemy of an idol. Even if you date secretly, it should never be brought to light.
