Gu Jin murmured an acknowledgment and followed Gu Jiajie down a desolate side road, turning a corner to arrive at the gate of a courtyard.
Looking around and not seeing anyone, Gu Jiajie stepped forward to knock on the door.
"Who is it?" A familiar voice came from inside.
"Brother Dali, it's Jiajie."
Footsteps were heard from inside, and soon the door was opened from within by a slender-looking man.
Gu Jiajie pulled down the cloth covering his face, revealing his features.
The man at the door raised an eyebrow upon seeing them: "Oh, it's you, kid. What's up?"
"Wasn't it just yesterday you mentioned, Brother Dali, that if there was any wild ginseng, you'd like to know? So here I am." Gu Jiajie flashed a bright smile.
The man called Dali glanced at Gu Jiajie, then at Gu Jin, who was bundled up behind him, and stepped aside: "Come in and we'll talk."
"Alright!"
Gu Jiajie led Gu Jin into the small courtyard.
