Darkness. That is all that Zaatox saw. He felt exhausted even though he had just woke up. He struggled to lift his head and open his eyes, but only after what felt like an eternity of trying, he finally managed to open his eyes. He expended so much effort only to see a bearded man staring back at him with a blank face. 'I guess this is my father.' Zaatox thought.
"Good job Mira, look our daughter is all healthy." the man said in a deep voice that made some part of Zaatox want to cry. 'Daughter? Do I have a twin? Is it one of the other 5?' he tried his best to look around the room. "Look at this honey. She is already looking for you," he said as he walked to his wife who was laying on a bed and placed Zaatox into her arms. Zaatox looked up at the women who would be his mother and saw a small resemblance of his old mother. 'wait, I see no other child or hear one. Please tell me that I am not the daughter they are talking about.' His mother had a tired smile on her face as she whispered "What shall we call her Onit? How about Valkorai? After your sister."
'Enga is probably laughing at my dismay right now. I will get back at him the moment I retake my position. That bastard.'
A couple of years pass, Valkorai grew used to her new body and family. From what she gathered from the things she overheard from her parents, she was in Clopun city of the Chu country in the Bloom continent. They were living in the outskirts of the Clopun. However, it is much better than being rich in a small village that could get wiped out over-night.
It took her a couple of months to learn the language. Now at the age of 3, she wanted to start to learn how to read.
Valkorai lied on the floor looking at the ceiling 'From the stories, father told me the Chu country has five important families, from strongest to weakest: The royal Chu family, they generally awaken the light element when they reach the qi control realm, the Fint family, they awaken the water element, the Impo family, they awaken the earth element, the Cho family, they awaken the wind element, the Goni family that tend to awaken the fire element. These five families control almost everything in the country and under these five are ten different factions five Dukedoms that owe their allegiance to the Chu family, three Sects and two cults that owe nothing to any of the families.
It seems that the Chu family are by far most powerful than the other four mostly because of the unwavering loyalty of the five Dukedoms. There are more than five of them, but they are too weak to be compared to the top five. The Goni family are the most mysterious out of the bunch, father never told me about any of their families exploits and only gave me a warning about them, to never get involved with them. Could father and the Goni family have some conflict with each other? But fathers cultivation seems to be too weak to be involved with one of the most powerful families after all they have multiple sky realm experts in their family and from what I can tell father is only at the qi control realm.
This continent's cultivation level seems to be very low. It is believed that the realms above rinzana realm are only myths or only accessible to non-mortal beings. So I can safely assume that this continent has almost no Lord realm experts and if they do, they are secluded. The first thing I need to do is get out of this continent there probably is a continent with many Lord rank experts in this realm, if not then I need to leave this realm as soon as possible. When I leave this here, I should go up to the realms occupied by the spirit races. After all, I did this for some adventure. Before I go I need to look for as much cultivation and battle techniques as possible. I can not really on the techniques that I found in my previous life, I do not want to give away that I am Zaatox, it could give a deadly advantage if any of them see me use it while I do not know.' Valkorai's eyes started to get heavy, she closed her eyes and dozed off.
The next day while they were eating a simple breakfast she looked at her mother "Can you teach me how to read? I want to go read in Uncle's library." Mira rubbed Valkorai on the head and smiled at her.
"Your uncle owes me a favour I can have him teach you, I need to go back to work today and I can't. I will take you to him right now. Soooo get dress and wait for me at the door." As Valkorai walked to their bedroom, Mira looked at Onit and whispered "She wants to learn how to read? She's getting more wired every day."
Onit chuckled and said "You are overreacting, she is just a smart kid is all hun." he replied.
"She started speaking at four months old! What kid have you heard of speaking at four months? No kid wants to learn at three years of age but she does. All they want to do is play around."
"Me. I never wanted to play. I always studied hard in the ways of cultivation." Meanwhile, Valkorai was putting on the only clothes she would ever wear jeans, a leather coat and combat boots that she stole from a store while nobody was looking. Nobody expects the 3-year-old to steal. She overheard everything they were talking about 'seems like I need to act more like a child, luckily father was a weirdo too or else they might freak out.'
After a while, they arrived at a library and entered. They were greeted by a beautiful woman wearing all green "There is my favourite niece. Do you know who I am?" she said
as she lifted Valkorai. Valkorai look annoyed as she rolled her eyes "Yes, you are me. Its only works when we meet for the first time, now put me down, aunt Val." They stared at each other for a while until Val smirked "So you want me to put you down huh? But you never said how you put you down he he he." She threw the small Valkorai in the air while giggling while on the other hand the one being thrown had an existential crisis.
'If I hit the floor I'm fucked, I know she isn't going to catch me. Fucking crazy bitch, I wonder how much set back I will take for my body refinement before I start.' At this time Valkorai reached the roof of the library and looked around for her parents. They, however, were busy having a conversation with his uncle to notice her. His father looked at her and gave him a quick smile before going back to his conversation. 'Motherfucker. Help. Me.' She stopped just before hitting the ground, and then was lifted to eye-level with his aunt. "Now listen here you little shit, you are going to cut that sass and then we are going to have a wonderful relationship. Now we are going to make a deal, I think that lanky bastard that I got married to is cheating on me. Nobody will expect a three year old to be spying on them so, if he gets too mushy with that pink-haired bitch then you will tell me when I get back. If you do that, then I will go get anything you want and we will go out for a treat."
"First, stop swearing so much I am a child. Second, I don't understand half the things you said."
"Oh really, you seem to be getting my jokes as much as any other adult. You might think you are sly but you can't escape my eyes, now start acting like a child and do this favour for me. And don't lie to me."
"How much money am I allowed to spend?"
"I don't care, I plan on stealing it. There are not enough people in this city to stop me. We are keeping that between us ok."
"Deal. Now put me down, I have got some spying to do." They both shared a smirk as Zaatox pondered what he would get for this endeavour.
