Aurora Blaine heard the sound of the door opening, she instinctively turned her head, and then met the man's deep eyes. Possibly due to that dream, she didn't quite dare to meet his gaze now. After just one second of eye contact, she shifted her gaze elsewhere.
The man was dressed in loose loungewear, looking casual yet handsome. "Where are you going?"
"To the company, that project is quite tricky. I need to personally take the lead," Aurora replied.
Maverick Knight stood aside, making way for her, his tone indifferent, "Come in for breakfast."
Aurora didn't move. She waved her hand, "No need, I just ate two pieces of bread and had milk. You go ahead."
Seeing Aurora's refusal, the man's eyebrows furrowed. This was a first, unprecedented.
"I'm in a rush, I've got to go," Aurora said and was about to leave.
As she turned around, Maverick Knight reached out, grabbing the girl's wrist, restraining her from moving forward. He then exerted slight force, pulling her towards him.
