"She changed? How so, is she still there?" Eurus let out not intentionally
Quetzalcoatl stared down at him, his head tilting confused when Ares from beside him stepped towards Eurus, his hand lightly laid on his axe deep brown eyes that shined like crimson of a certain angel, his body shined off. A gold almost bronze, He glared down at him leaning to Eurus level,
"Shes still the same person you've grown to care for, but her blood, her body changed unreversable"
Ares admitted to his eyes a soft squint assessing Eurus' reaction. Eurus glared at him confused, his fist at his side and his breath caught in his chest, changed and couldn't be reversed, Eurus tried to come through the last week she stayed with them, the worried and heightened looks around the room, her hands shaking only slightly, and he only caught that twice. Noticeable. How she would talk when no one was there, not mumbling under her breath. Talking in a conversation with someone. Eurus dazed stare turned to Judy feeling her grip tighten on his arm, her eyes more piercing than the gods that stood before them,
"It can't be reversed. What does that mean, is Shai still human?"
Judy asked her eyes flickered to the three, her voice uncertain when she added,
"Is she more like the gun she held? Like you three is she…"
"Shes a god," Athena interrupted
Judy looked at Athena, hesitant, nervous but angry. She couldn't have helped her like she promised, the talk they had the day Shai woke up, failed. She failed. In a way she couldn't believe it. Shai's a god? A being a otherworldly strength known to be myth. Only in books and long forgotten artifacts dug from the ground, only talked about in story. Judy shakes her head and didn't notice her grip tightened on Eurus but Athena did, her calm, collected, but reassuring voice draws her out of her thoughts,
"You didn't cause this human or as we have been informed Judy." Athena began
"So she told you who I am?"
"Yes she explained who you both are and..in need of certain protection,"
Judy flinched, the tone in Athena's voice was cautious, a mere thought of what had happened could occur without any action on her part, as if it could change with a flick of a finger. All controlled and chaotic at once. Judy lets go of Eurus talking a small step towards Athena her hand a slight tremble. As she emphasized pointing at them,
"Protection? A god what has happened to our friend. To my daugh…" \
Judy stopped herself and stared up at the three, she wasn't afraid as she should be, having faced the gods before her with nothing but themselves if they offend the three gods, Athena stared at her, appreciation, walking to Judt her hands tightened on her spear and shield,
"Shai faced Apet and won,"
"Apet? Who's Apet I've never heard her say anything of this,"
Judy expressed her hands clenched over her chest, eyes wide confusion written in them, her body made how concerned, the stance that shakes with how tense her muscles are, Athena didn't stray from Judy's worried stare, She dropped her shield letting it fade off into the wind, Her blue eyes shined with a calm smile on her face, her hand placed on Judy's shoulder a soft voice went through Athena's lips,
"You haven't been in her loop."
Athena glanced at Eurus and he looked pale. Recognizing what happened he looked at her with a nod, he stepped up when Quetzalcoatl leaned his head down to their level, not hearing an irritated grumble from Ares who's been blocked from them because of the serpent, Quetzalcoatl Ares and Athena hear Eurus say to Judy,
"I didnt tell you..Shai had to fight this god witch thing and..umm you are rightfully pissed but I can explain"
"Explain…now"
Judy ordered her voice lased with frustration, her eyes a pissed off glare, when Athena holding her shoulder tightened her grip, Judy tilted her head up at her, she caught Athena's eyes,
"Let us tell you what has occurred with Shai, don't blame the boy, he was there for only one talk, he didn't know all of it,"
Athena told her standing beside her, she looked at Eurus with a slight nod she tells them what happened,
"Shai had taken upon herself to break the prison that has held the gods in place for centuries, she did at her cost, she didn't make it into our escape, she fought an old allie of ours. That went dark. She went her own was and in that she met an old friend of Zeus that turned as well, Apet was a god, but she changed from her leader, making her into what we know a figure,"
Athena stopped letting Judy soak the information in. As she glanced at Ares from behind Quetzalcoatl his glowing red hues shined intensely remembering what happened. He met her gaze a slight nod towards her, when they are interrupted Judy voice cut through the silent agreement,
"Apet she made a trap for Shai? Is that what you're getting at?"
Athena and Ares turned to her, there hands tightened in there weapons, Ares jaw clenched while Athena's eyes squinted having its own solidarity glow, she lean down to Judy and Eurus her voice a calm whisper,
"Yes, she made a portal that Shai went through instead of following us, from what Shai told us Apet first mocked her before trying to kill her, in the end Shai was taken over, her body in critical condition Dalos used her. Made her kill Apet and left her almost dead on the roof of the figure building. A portal was made in Olympus and we pulled her back. She was half towards death,"
As Athena explained Judy's and Eurus expression, Judy stilled her face a stunned and angry state, her body trembled with the amount of worry wrapped into her made it boil under the surface, Eurus frightened hid it behind a cold facade his hands a fist on his sides clenched, his eyes a steely blues that wanted to cut through them find what the rest of this fucked up fight is. He stood closer to them almost a stride,
"What happened after…why is she not the one here telling us this?" Eurys inquired, agitated his nails digging into his hands…he felt so weak. He couldn't do anything for her here.
"Becasue it's not safe for her to come much less through a portal," Ares admitted
"Not safe from what?"
"Herself and another god who would live to catch her off guard and kill her with a slight flick of his wrist,"
Ares asserted his hand held his axe in front of him and showed Eurus the blade,
"He would have killed her now before she can grow in strength, kill her before she can become his greatest enemy, worse the Apet, if Shai could have she would even with our insite, but she would die on the way here"
The two humans freeze, Judy stared wide her mouth a gap as she uttered unnoticeable to the normal ears,
"even if she came here should would have been dead? What..no how bad is she right now?"
Before any of the three can answer Judy, Eurus cuts through his tone stern but underlining terrified reality, this is worse than Herman. This is worse than Max and Yuval. It's not their world, it's more pressure that can break into pieces that couldn't melt back into one. His eyes turned into slits,
"How would she be killed, that guy Dalos? Right that's what Athena told us"
Ares turned cold, his gaze of fire and fury changed into patience, a deeper understanding, he knew of that anger. It seeped into his bones,
"it was him. Dalos is the first figure, the one that made it all, he was an allie of sorts. One we thought could lean on. That was our mistake not seeing the monster he left under his wing."
"That's doesn't seem possible" Eurus let out cautious, he head shaking slightly,
"It is, Shai has had him on her hip since meeting us in combat. Helping her with Herman was the key to his escape, we didn't know until she came to in Olympus, she told us what happened on the roof,"
Ares answered his stance as a burning companion, a guild of sorts, he observed them with critical eye. As Quetzalcoatl curled around them, his tail moved close to them to comfort them, but Judy looked around wide eyed only Eurus stood tall his head tilted to them, eyes harden at the sight of the three powerful beings, not the fright that should from their presence but for her. For Shai it went deep, Quetzalcoatl leaned his nose onto Eurus head a sort of calm that reached him, a warmth he couldn't describe, Quetzalcoatl stared softly at Eurus breathing through his snout the air messed up Eurus white hair,
"Then she came to the council meeting. She wanted to find the cause of our noise and she has, but from the creator of the figure being inside her weapon, staying with her for only a short duration, his power seeped into her, manifesting when he left her for dead. Dalos has threatened us. Taking back what he made and now had pointed it at us, and you,"
Quetzalcoatl hummed it breath fanning across Eurus who stepped back the blast of air made him trip on his feet, his eyes a stern blue stared back at the large serpent, hearing the faint explanation,
"She had to be maintained in a spell, that's how she's still living. We are sent here by her to protect you humans, from Dalos he use you both and her in a heart beat your bodies would be laid in front of her, cut through like Apet,"
Eurus felt a cold wind rush around them moving his hair in it, his sweater flopped in the wind as he stared at Quetcalcoatl, eyes widen slightly, hearing that scent echoing through his mind, cut thought like Apet, Eurus feet digged into the garden dirt below him, he faintly heard Judy holding onto the ground making a dent from where she stood, her hand held onto Athena's arm the ground shook under them like before,
"What are you doing?" JUdy let out her worried gaze on Athena, she stood straight her gaze met Judy's,
"Quetalcoatl is making a warning system of sorts"
Athena told her pointing down at their feet they saw an Aztec engraving below them, it looked like the serpent above them, covering the ground to their doorstep, Judy scanned it with her feet following the pattern. Eurus observed it in shock and bent down lightly brushing the sculpture. He looked up at Quetcalcoatl and Ares, his eyes that were once hardened soften, She asked them to watch over his aunt and him. She made the gods watch over them from just one meeting, convincing them or even threatened them to protect him and Judy,
"Shes fine right?"
Eurus asked looking up at them with a small pained smile appeared on his face, a glint in his eyes that was heart felt, it made Ares contemplate what Eurus was thinking, Quetalcoat tilted there head there eyes flickered to Ares cautious hopeful even,
"Shai didn't threaten you at all or made you bend until you agreed?" Eurus asked
Ares smirked a small rumble came from his chest, his axe shifts red, disappearing away while Ares grabbed the back of Eurus sweater, picking him up, setting him on his feet, Eurus tried to pull Ares grip off of his sweater but he caught what Ares said,
"She helped us. When my family put that loosely, where trapped by Dalos in a mirror of time, of his making she went with us and took them back, and came back more broken than before."
"You just agreed because she helped you? That's it?"
"Yes, she placed her mind, body and soul on the plan to help me and my family. I will do the same for her," Ares averted
Quetzalcoatl lean down his colorful eyes scanned Eurus a small huff came from him, Quetzalcoatl turned its head to Athena and Judy, its eyes turned to slits,
"We will stay to watch over until the spell is met, until then we are staying here,"
