Chapter 5 - The Meeting

Tad unconscious and in route to the hospital comes too but feels weightless. Looking around as to why he might feel this sensation he sees himself lying on the stretcher while the paramedics frantically move trying to stop his bleeding.

" Come on kid you have to fight and stay strong just hang on a bit longer." One of the paramedics say.

" We are losing him come on man step on it, start the IV drip and keep pressure on his abdomen around the object and try not to move it to much it'll cause more damage." The other says trying to keep everyone focused.

" What's going on? Am I really dying right now? I…" Tad was cut off mid sentence.

" Come with me we must discuss what to do with you." A strange hooded figure says.

" Death? Is that you? Why me, I'm so young it was a mistake. Please give me another chance." Tad pleaded with figure.

" Please do not call me Death I have an actual name and I'm not here to take to the afterlife you're going to pull through this so please do not worry anymore. I need to take to see someone very important and talk." The figure looks at Tad with ice blue eyes ands spreads her black wings. She flaps as hard as she can an the next instant they were both transported to a room with a table and three chairs. in one of three chairs sat another figure with wings but the color was different than deaths these wings were more blue and silver.

" Tad what a pleasure to see you agin. It's a bit earlier than I had expected but, never the less here you are. My name is Gadreel." He said standing from the table and slightly bowing to Tad.

" How do you know me and what do you mean see me again? I am so confused, what's going on where am I?" Tad said looking around frantically.

" I must be dreaming I'll wake up in the hospital soon enough." Tad said with little confidence.

" I told you he wasn't ready yet Gadreel he is still unaware of you and the power inside of himself." Death says as her hood falls down reveling her soft complexion

and beauty. Tad takes a step back and falls in awe of Deaths beauty.

" I've read in stories that Death was a beauty to behold but I didn't think it was true." Tad said quietly.

"I told you that is not my name but my title my name is Innocence and that is how you shall address me!" She said with an angry tone turning her aurora a dark gold color.

" Innocence please calm down the boy knows not of your story or mine it was left out of the book in the mortal realm you know this, so please be a bit more understanding." Gadreel said calmly and forcefully. He extended a hand to Tad and helped him off the ground into one of the chairs and began to explain how he is his guardian angel and how he has been watching over him since he was born.

" The only way to meet your guardian angel is to have a near death experience and be totally under the influence of your subconscious to be lead here otherwise you would never see Innocence or be escorted to me." Gadreel said finishing up all the questions and story he was telling. Tad sitting back taking it all and trying to process what he has seen and gone through in what felt like hours.

" Wait I've been away from my body for to long right, like its been a few hours right? Will I be able to return now or am I stuck?" Tad said starting to freak out again.

" No no don't worry your body just got to the hospital and they are rushing you in for surgery right now." Innocence said with a hand on his shoulder. She gave him a little smile of reassurance. His mind now at easy he starts taking deep breathes to get himself under control. He smiles back and bows his head.

" So what happens now Innocence said something about discovering the power inside myself? What power I have never felt anything unusual about myself?" Tad asked looking at Gadreel, but before he could answer another person entered the room. The other two hit the floor bowing their heads in respect for the man that just stepped in.

" Bow your head Tad that is the formal greeting you should have for God when he enters your presence." Gadreel said in a whisper. Tad was hesitant and said

"I am not a big believer in God".

The two angels looked at him in astonishment and Gadreel stood up and grabbed Tad's shoulders.

"How do you not believe in God? This is ludicrous you just had a conversation with an angel and the angel of death. How?"

"What kind of God takes a mother from a child? What God wishes that upon someone?" Tad said with a hint of anger in his voice.

" Please sit with me, we will discuss your feelings and transgressions Tad." God said with a low soft tone as to not disturb the peace in the room. The three return to their seats and a fourth chair appears at the head of the table.

" Now you wish to know why I would do this to you? I can't explain it to you for I am God and you could not comprehend why I would do such things. Now do you want to discuss what we are here to discuss or would like to keep going." God said with low tone in anger. " No sir we may proceed I am sorry" Tad said while bowing his head. Shit that was scary Tad thought to himself. "I heard that" God said with sly grin, Tad's eyes widened and then he bowed and apologized again. Now back on topic Tad would you like to guess what your power will be or should I tell you?" God asked. Tad eager to know thinks for a moment and then asks

" Is it the ability to see Gadreel when I like?"

" Well yes that is one but your main power will be the manipulation of water in all of its states but it will take time to master and a lot of patience, Gadreel will be available to teach and help you gain control of these powers." God said. Tad's eyes began to change as they widened, the color darkening slightly and an electric fire behind them, the prickle under his skin along with the jolt of energy exploding through his nerves Tad shiveredthen let out a breath. Just as he was about to ask another question this force began to pull him, " Well it seems like our time is up, you must be off to your body and world now Gadreel will be there when you wake up in a couple days use this time to restore yourself and meditate" God said as Tad was pulled back to his body. Tad woke up two days later feeling a bit woozy and out of it thinking everything he had experienced was a dream.
