Reluctantly she looked behind her to see Xander flying down with her. His eyes twinkled with mirth as the ardent look on his face made her heartbeat wane just a little.
He was having the time of his life and that gave her a certain kind of reassurance.
However, all that seemed to disappear when she turned around again and noticed they were getting closer to the ground and falling faster than ever.
"Ahhh! Xander do something already."
His loud chuckle was something to die for, reverberating in her mind through the mind link.
"Where's the fun in that?" She heard his question. "I thought you wanted something dangerous."
"Yes but…"
"Then dive freely," he interjected, pushing at her mental restraints with his teasing words. "I promise to catch you."
For the first time in forever, Jade felt scared but at the same time, she was extremely thrilled by the act itself. She was also reminded of the fact that it was her mate that was with her.
