The Ghost Blades were the Magus Alliance's deadliest special unit, elite enforcers deployed only on the most dangerous missions.
A small black ship streaked across the battlefield, and ten shadows leapt from its hatch before it had even slowed. Their black uniforms seemed to drink in the surrounding light, while their featureless masks bore no markings to identify them.
Half the unit immediately headed toward the Infected Supreme, while the other half descended toward the citadel to reinforce the struggling defenders.
Their leader landed silently in front of Thrax.
"Major Kouga, commander of the Ghost Blades," he introduced himself.
Thrax heard of him. Kouga was the same ghost blade warrior who had fought alongside Emery on Valaryn. He had grown considerably since then. His aura now carried the unmistakable presence of a Three-Cosmos Grand Magus.
"Thank you for coming," Thrax said, his voice heavy with exhaustion.
