Dragging the bamboo near the large rock, Du Lai began measuring the distance. The bamboo had to be cut to equal lengths in order to build the roof effectively.
Fu Miaoxue circled around Du Lai, helping to hold the bamboo poles for a moment, then handing him the vines, eager to help finish everything quickly so they could go bird hunting!
"When are we going bird hunting?" she asked Du Lai, her face full of anticipation.
Du Lai found a support on the tree branch, placed one end of the bamboo pole there, rested the other end on the rock, and secured it with vines.
He glanced at the sky and said, "Let's go now."
"Okay!" Fu Miaoxue was super excited, but seeing only a frame built for the roof, she hesitated and asked, "Then... what about the tent?"
"We'll work on it slowly; today, we'll first look for bird nests." Du Lai smiled at her, "If we're lucky, we might have a long-term supply of bird meat in the future."
