"What are you thinking about?"
Su Man's voice pulled Lu Yuwen's thoughts back to the present.
"Thinking about you," he replied with a smirk.
Su Man: "..."
She glared at him, her face bright red.
He continued unhurriedly, "Thinking about whether you'd prefer beef braised in red wine, or beef roasted with black pepper sauce?"
Su Man clenched and unclenched her fists, forcing herself not to splash the potato-washing water onto his face.
"Stop teasing me," she hesitated. "It feels... weird."
... She couldn't quite describe it—a mix of shyness, irritation, awkwardness, and a hint of happiness. It was strange, complex, and hard to define.
If another man teased her in this way, she'd probably brush it off with an eye roll or, in worse cases, throw a punch. But since it was Lu Yuwen...
Hmm, well, it just felt... weird.
