"We know you're in there! You can't hide forever!" The woman panicked, glancing over at her 6-year-old as the invisibility power she stole started to wear off. "What am I going to do? They killed him... they murdered my husband..." tears rolling down her face. "Hey!" A voice whispered next to her. The woman glanced up to catch her best friend appear next to her. "I saw what happened, I got here as quick as I could. What are you going to do? They will just kill you too." The woman glanced at her getting an idea. "Spirit... let me borrow your power... I can use it to put my soul in my daughter.... when she is old enough I will get revenge on the heroes for what they did to me." Spirit sighed and held out her hand allowing the women to grab it. " I guess you're as good as dead either way." The mother grabbed her hand and let spirit's power flow through her and made her way over to her daughter. " I'm so sorry... you'll understand one day." With that, she let her spirit make its way inside her daughter and her now lifeless body dropped to the ground. Spirit looked one last time at the child and her friend's now lifeless body and vanished.
BOOM! A pulse of energy knocking down the door as 5 figures walk through ready for a fight. " No one is here?" A lady said looking around confused. " I'm sure she just used someone's power. She's obviously hiding." A man replied in a condescending tone. "Uh guys? I don't think she's hiding..." an older lady added, standing over the woman's corpse. " I don't understand. How did she die?" The last man from the raid said, distressed. "I don't know... but we need to-" the other man stopped, looking to see a little girl glancing from beside the couch. " A-are you guys b-bad? Mommy wouldn't wake up." The little girl said slowly coming out. "Of course not, we just need to help keep the world safe." The man replies, "come with me, you can stay with me until we find someone to adopt you okay?" The girl didn't move, tears rolling down her face. The younger lady stepped in, glaring at him, before kneeling beside the daughter. " What's your name, love?" "A-a-adelis..." the girl managed to get out through her tears. " That's such a cool name. Mine is Kell. And how old are you?" "I'm this many." Adelis says holding up 6 fingers." Wow, 6? You're such a big girl already. Tell you what, you come with us and you can have all the cookies and ice cream you wish." Adelis thought about it and nodded her head in agreement. "Okay, its settled then. Let's go back to headquarters." Kell said, picking up Adelis, hoping they made the right decision. She is a villain, after all.
