Alex, seeing the information on Flannery's second-strongest Pokemon, couldn't help but be a little impressed.
' Two very good and one useful Innate Talent move + a Deep Gold potential is really strong considering that it's not Flannery's strongest Pokemon. Though it's very likely her second strongest Pokemon.'
Flannery immediately realized that her Pokemon had a strong type disadvantage and is probably at a similar level and she understood that her Pokemon probably won't win this fight.
But these disadvantages didn't make her nervous or dissatisfied but rather excited to be able to fight Alex's Pokemon.
Alex with a confident smile said, "I'm going to toss a coin in the air and as soon as this coin hits the ground we'll start. are you ok with it?"
Flannery nodded at Alex's words with an excited expression. She looked like she couldn't wait any longer.

"Camerupt use Sunny Day"
Alex and Flannery gave their Pokemon commands at the same time, although Alex finished a bit faster because he used fewer words.
While Kingdra is not a Pokemon that can move very quickly on land, it is not slow once it reaches champion level.
Seaking, Kingdra, and similar water-type Pokemon that can hardly move on land can, as soon as they reach level 60, or train [Surf] or similar moves on their master rank, move relatively quickly on land.
water type Pokemon all can use the water-type energy to create a mini surf under their body that costs little energy and can be used in battles continuously without interrupting. with this "technique", most water-type Pokemon are not longer extremely slow on land and are more effective in land combat.
Pokemon under level 60, or without a move like [Surf] on the master rank can also do this "technique", but the effectiveness of this "technique" is many times worse and hardly usable in combat if that Pokemon did not if the Pokemon does not meet this requirement.
Kingdra will not be as immobile in the future as he is now. but for now, Kingdra is even slower than Camerupt on the ground. even if it's just a little bit slower.
Alex wasn't worried though and he watched with a calm expression as Kingdra used his first move.
Kingdra finished first and a huge amount of water started to collect under Kingdra. He used [Surf] and a rising wave came towards Camerupt.
[Surf] is extremely difficult to dodge, especially if one can't fly. Camerupt had no chance to dodge it.
But just before [Surf] hit him, his move was ready so he could use [Sunny Day] straight away and reduce the damage from [Surf].
Solid Rock and [Sunny Day] greatly reduced Surf's damage, but even with this advantage, Camerupt had taken too much damage.
Flannery, seeing Camerupt's condition, knew that her Pokemon couldn't stand another move like that.
"Once again"

Alex and Flannery gave their orders at the same time and both Pokemon immediately started preparing their new moves.
What did surprise Alex, however, was that, without direct words from Flannery, Camerupt ran toward Kingdra as he prepared his move.
'Sunny Day+ Explosion is a very good tactic. Also, training her Pokemon in such a way that she doesn't have to use extra words when the next logical action is very obvious is also relatively rare among trainers her age. She's really smarter than she appears.'
Alex, however, showed a calm expression as he telepathically said to Kingdra, "Cancel your move immediately and use [Protect] directly."
Kingdra does that immediately and once he canceled the preparation of his move and after he waited for half a second, Kingdra could immediately use [Protect].
Flannery, also saw Kingdra stop collecting energy for his move and she immediately understood that Kingdra must have canceled his move.
"Camerupt S-"
Before Flannery could finish her words, Camerupt used the move [Explosion], which was only now being completed, against the [Protect] shield that Kingdra was only now showing.
Alex who saw this thought, 'Too late. I deliberately waited for the perfect timing so that you can no longer react.'
[Protect] shatters under the power of [Explosion] but not before absorbing most of the damage from that move.
Kingdra took very little damage from this move.
Camerupt, with a body covered in wounds, fell unconscious to the ground.
Flannery quickly ran in the direction of Camerupt and started healing him with a Hyper Potion once it fell to the ground.
Alex, who had won this round with barely any damage, didn't look particularly proud.
This fight didn't need any complicated strategy to win so he just had to play down the "certain victory".
The only special thing he did in this fight was waiting for the perfect timing to use [Protect].
Alex called Kingdra back to his Pokeball and summoned Zweilous to the arena as he waited for Flannery to call her Ace Pokemon.
He thought with a slight smile 'The next fight should be a closer match.'
