Chapter 272 - Catching Up

The two of us leisurely walk through the village, leaving the fairly inappropriate monument to my likeness behind us. If only they had consulted its construction with me, I might not have been completely opposed to the idea. We could have come up with something more in line with what the other statue represents. Now, however, it's already too late, and my full nude straight from ancient Greece is going to forever team up with my father's badass hunting image.

Doing my best to temporarily forget about all of that, I focus on everything else around. It's not that hard when most people we stumble on insist on greeting me joyfully, some with words of deep gratitude or even reverence. I even get requested to rub a few slowly growing bellies for good luck and healthy development for the children that have been conceived under my blessing.

Which I'm fairly sure already almost guarantees such.

In a few months, the population of this little village in the middle of nowhere is going to explode by at least half of the current amount. Thankfully, with the newly established portal to the Dwarves, most if not all the logistical issues shouldn't be a problem anymore. By the time its use is needed, we should have already dealt with our problems on the other side, securing a deal or two on trade or just transportation.

Naturally, I don't intend to erase this place's natural identity. Some improvements might arrive, but it's obvious this community is fairly happy with where they currently stand. Safety and security are pretty much the biggest and only concern. They should be able to continue with their lives in their village as casually as in the past, just with the added benefits of not starving during a period after some horrible incident, like a rough winter or a merciless flood.

All in all, it's up to Codae how to handle these things. She's the boss. Even if I might help out here and there.

Or help her take off some stress whenever no one is looking.

Gradually pushing through the passersby, we reach Ayumi's house. At that point, people realise where we are heading and stop bothering us this close to our goal. There's no way there's anyone who doesn't know about Father's return or our connection, thus I receive some space and expectant looks.

Sirgia slows down a bit as we near the entrance, so I squeeze her hand reassuringly. "Relax. No matter what, you are already mine, and not even he can change that. Compared to all the hurdles that await us, this meeting is nowhere near—"

The door bursts open as I'm speaking, and one quite animated feline slams into me from the front like a truck, causing me to grunt in surprise. Ayumi immediately squeezes me with all she has and starts peppering my face with chaste but very emotional kisses.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you…" She keeps herself in a teary-eyed loop of words and pecks, her furry cheeks stained with glistening streaks.

"Mom." Smiling wryly, I pat her back while waiting for her to calm down a little. "You've got the wrong person. I didn't do anything. Hell, I didn't know anything until half an hour ago. It's those girls you should be thanking, not me."

The affectionate Beastkin withdraws a tad, cupping my cheeks tenderly. "Are they not your subordinates? Your people? Was it not you who sent them out to search for Connor?"

"Well…" I glance to the side.

She hugs me again, streaking her fingers through my hair. "It's been one miracle after another since you arrived in our lives. I don't know what I can do to repay this much kindness. I don't even know if I'm worthy of you calling me Mom."

"Oh, stop it." I pull her back and brush the fur under her eyes to clean up the wet traces. "We are family. There's no repaying anything. We don't owe each other anything. Everything we do benefits us all. And you are not planning on depriving me of the mother I have always wished for so soon after that wish has been fulfilled, are you?"

"Never." Ayumi sniffles softly. "It would kill me inside to lose such a wonderful son."

"Good." I grin at her as we both step back, holding each other's hands. "It's every kid's dream to be part of a big, loving family, no matter how old."

"Good." She nods with a big smile curling up her muzzle. "Mommy is already working hard on giving you and Noah a few more siblings."

A groan escapes my throat with a cute giggle arriving from my side. "I didn't need to hear that…"

"Oh, please, as the Demigod of Lust and Love, we might need all the help you can give us." Mom chuckles warmly, her tail dancing excitedly behind her figure. "We missed the previous opportunity with Connor still gone, and the shrine isn't yet fully open."

"There's a shrine?" I blink at her owlishly.

"Of course!" My mother rolls her eyes like it's an obvious thing. "Where else are we going to pray to you and politely request blessings? Though the second part will need to wait until you pick and sanctify the Shrine Maiden."

Somehow, I have a nagging suspicion that sanctifying such Shrine Maiden is going to shorten the job name to just Shrine.

Guess I'll need to have a chat with Elea since she's the second-in-command for these matters.

"We'll cross that bridge later." I shake my head and turn Mom around. "Is it just me, or does it smell like something is burning?"

She gives me a somewhat distant look over her shoulder before her pupils shrink into thin slits. "The pheasant! Aaaaaaaaaaah!"

As quickly and suddenly as she has arrived, Ayumi is gone in a blink, sprinting to the kitchen so that she can save the forgotten dish. I share a snicker with Sirgia and lead us inside. Not wishing to intrude on my mother's most sacred place in the house, especially under current circumstances, we head to the guest room, listening to her cursing herself and then Noah, who might have been tasked with looking over the stove.

Entering, we find my father and the chieftess sitting across from each other on the sofas, separated by a dining table. They pause their chat to smile at us, both full of longing, just different types. I slip into the spot next to Codae, making her scoot a bit further in, and Sirgia takes my other side. It's tempting to lean in for another kiss as I can tell the fierce female is looking forward to some more affection, but not wanting to embarrass her too much, I end up squeezing her thigh out of view, which in turn causes her tail to wag happily.

Moments later, Noah stumbles into the room with two plates of food, quickly setting them down in front of us before they land on the floor. Afterwards, he waves at Sirgia sunnily and looks between me and our dad. A decision passes through his youthful eyes, and he jumps into his lap, nestling himself there with a satisfied smirk and an audible purr. Chuckling to himself, Father starts stroking his adorable ears.

I hear shuffling by my side, and before I can react, my lap is being taken over too. Sirgia climbs atop it with the help of my shoulders, plopping down in one of her all-time favourite spots. She picks up my arms to wrap one around her slim waist and puts my other hand atop her head. The delicate sigh she releases while relaxing makes Noah freeze.

"That's not fair!" He points at her in outrage.

"You've made your choice." She gazes back at him smugly. "Since I offered you the option and you didn't take it, you can only blame yourself."

"That's for children!" The little troublemaker huffs at her. "You are an adult! That's not right!"

"Sounds like someone is having second thoughts." Sirgia giggles devilishly, snuggling more into my embrace. "Life isn't always right, you better keep that in mind. And this isn't the matter of being an adult or not, albeit the core issue does stem from it for most people. Not for me, though."

Noah gapes at her confusedly, which only makes my tease of a mate preen even more in my arms.

"You see, I'm naturally this small. Always will be. Therefore, I can enjoy this forever. You, on the other hand, will grow quickly, most likely as big as your mom or dad. At one point, you'll just be too big. An adult, as you have said. So, you need to choose wisely. Time is running out." She cocks a victorious grin at him.

My little brother looks positively stricken at the heavy truth of the world. His eyes jump between me and my dainty lover as the reality of what she said sinks in. Thankfully, he's not the person to immediately throw a fit over it, even if I can tell that he is already calculating how to reclaim my lap and maximise its availability in the future.

Rubbing my temples, I tap her on the hair. She tilts back to peer at me, and I flick her forehead lightly, evoking a girly squawk from my petite Dwarf. Sirgia massages it with a pout while keeping my gaze.

"You are too much." I scold her a bit.

~But, Master, that naughty brat was trying to make you jealous.~ My partner forms a response mentally.

~The only naughty brat I can see here is currently pleasantly seated on my thighs,~ I quip back playfully. ~Don't make me spank you.~

A rosy flush adorns her cheeks as she drops her eyes to the table, her butt suspiciously wiggling in a way that rubs my crotch into hers. A snort makes her stop, and we both find a knowing smirk on Codae's lips, who catches on to everything easily. If she's envious, she doesn't show a hint of it. More amused, I would say.

But, Sirgia's actions aren't completely meaningless. I know she's nervous and thus a bit less in control of her behaviour.

Ayumi saves us from any further conflict or embarrassment as she strolls in with the rest of the plates set along her strong arms. She sets them down in a flash and takes a glance at the whole table. Spotting Noah's and Sirgia's state, she rolls her eyes, sensing the rivalry in the air, and sits down next to her beloved.

"Apologies for being late. I had to save a piece of dinner because Noah got distracted. Don't worry, he gets the burnt bits like the grown and responsible adult that he insists on being." Mom teases his current situation openly, clearly quoting the little man.

Noah just groans in defeat.

Then, she gestures at us to dig in, and we do exactly that.

To be perfectly honest, group breakfast or dinner isn't anything new to me. I've been part of many such moments back in the mansion, sharing meals either with whoever was in the cafeteria at the moment or with my most intimate circles. Yet, this one feels totally different. Even if we don't speak on our own, the atmosphere speaks for itself.

There's just something to it that screams family.

And by no means do I wish to say that it hasn't felt like family with my mates or all the other girls who look after me. It made me just as warm inside to be by their side. At the same time, it's both the same and completely different moods. Something fairly unique. Which doesn't subtract anything from the other one. It's hard to explain with words.

"I'm glad you find the dishes to your liking," Ayumi comments during the meal, observing us inhale her tasty cooking. "I must admit, it's been a while since I was this driven in the kitchen. That's why, I have to thank you again for making this family reunion possible, Alastair. I'll never forget this immense kindness."

"We've already talked about that." I give her the look. "It's as much of a reunion for you as it is for me. I dare to say even more for me, considering the period of time. Not that I mean to say that I deserved it more for waiting longer. I had already given up ages ago."

"Nevertheless, here we are, with Connor, your father, finally back with us, hopefully for good." She takes a peek at the man, and I swear she would be blushing if not for the thick fur, still as smitten with him as before. "Please, promise me you won't ever abandon Codae for this long. There's only so much we can do for each other in times like those."

The person in question chokes on a piece of fancy chicken, and I quickly help the chieftess by smacking her back repeatedly. Free of the assassin that intended to take her life, she glares at the other woman with a completely red face, which doesn't seem like only the result of her earlier trouble.

"Ayumi!" Codae lets out an audible growl.

My fingers sneak into her lush hair and massage her scalp, pacifying the wild girl slightly. "Don't worry. I'm now strong enough to jump between places with almost no delay. And there's the gate in case I have no one to switch with. Things might have been more difficult in the past, but I'm now at the beck and call of my mates at all times. Plus, if anything delays me, they will know through our mental bond. I won't ever let her feel lonely."

If it were just up to me, I would be hopping all around the world to visit each of my acquaintances regularly, even if it took most of the day. But, I also understand that every person is different, especially with all the unique races. A week or a month might make a Human feel very neglected, but to an Elf or a Succubus, it's like a drop in a bucket called life. Showing up so often could even be considered clingy and controlling.

That being said, I should check up on a few of our allies in the near future. Like the ocean ladies or the Wood Elves. I've boned plenty of females in their respective areas and made the transfer pretty much seamless. With the mercenary corps and the church now properly established, they might be interested in becoming part of our operations, which now don't involve only the brothel.

My inner musings last for a few seconds, which inadvertently makes the raccoon woman fairly putty in my hands, so much so that it interrupts any motor functions, leaving her under the continuous assault of my fingers. That fact isn't missed by anyone else, including my father, whose smile gets noticed by her in turn.

"Want to say something, bastard?" The proud female snarls at him, his complexion paling.

Not wishing to put her on the spot any longer, I withdraw my palm, which causes her to pause and go silent. Something akin to regret swirls in her gorgeous eyes as she is stuck between maintaining her image and outright asking me not to stop showering her in love.

"There's no need to put up an act. We are amongst family here," Ayumi comments gently. "What's said and done won't ever move past the doorstep of this home, right, my love?"

"O-Of course!" Dad chuckles awkwardly, caught between not one but two quite scary females.

Some tension leaves Codae's body, and I place a small kiss on her cheek, which she accepts without making a fuss, the corners of her lips twitching up ever so faintly.

"But, to be fair, it did take you a second to get back, Dad." I change the topic of the conversation soon after, saving her from further attention.

He winces as it shifts to him. "I would love to say that the circumstances forced me, but the truth is, I'm the one who made the stupid decision to stay away, which I now regret to the depths of my heart. I had found a trace of my partner."

"Ah." I cock my head back in understanding. "The bonds between teammates do run deep."

"Yeah. And I thought he was in trouble. So I acted right away. And as hasty as I was, it took time." Connor swipes a hand down his face. "Turns out, I shouldn't even have bothered."

Even with most details missing, the pain in his eyes is clear enough.

And it's not the pain of losing a long-time partner and brother in arms. Guys like him get at least partially used to the prospect over the duration of their service.

No, it's much more personal.

"I see." I nod solemnly. "Things like that are never easy. Did you…?"

"As smart as I remember." He offers me a strained smile. "It was my duty to take care of it, and so I did. Well, to be clear, it was my guardian angel in the form of the most demonic woman I could have ever imagined who managed it while saving my ass from certain death."

"Ailish…" I mutter under my breath.

"That's the one." Dad shakes his head in disbelief. "The devil itself, who offered to take me home right after I woke up. To bring me back to my son. My first son. Now, I might not have been an overly religious person in my life, but even being brought up as a good little Christian, that did sound like the deal I could actually sell my soul for."

The two of us laughed, earning curious and confused looks from everyone else.

"And imagine my reaction when I learned that this devil incarnate was working for that son of mine instead." He continues chuckling to himself while reminiscing. "I thought you beat me to the punch, already selling yourself off to find your old man across the universe, no matter what."

"Trust me, I tried," I admit, earning myself a shocked stare. "What? You think after all the hell I've lived through, any other one would have moved me? Unfortunately, there were no gods or goddesses on Earth willing to listen. But, maybe my plea somehow reached a little bit further into the world."

"I guess I can't fault you for that, considering I would have done the same." Connor sighs heavily. "Regardless, I was filled in a bit, then escorted to the Human capital, where they put me in a rich mansion under your name."

"As if they couldn't take you straight here." I let out a frustrated groan. "It must have been an experience. Learning that your son, who came from an abusive whore, decided to start a brothel out of all the things."

"I was slightly taken aback at first, but I quickly learned the truth." He tries to direct a reassuring and kind smile my way. "Everyone there is so well-cared for and happy with their life. I've personally witnessed a girl being brought in, looked after for a few days, then helped return home with no strings attached, and I understood that there's more to that place than just business."

"A lot more." I agree with him. "But it will take a while to explain, and we are currently talking about you."

"Yes, I'm aware. Your… women… drip-fed me some information." My father tests the word on his lips, gauging my reaction. "I was quite bewildered to learn the number. Or witness its fraction face-to-face even."

"I bet. Coming to your son's home and finding out he has over a dozen women must have been a lot." I snicker, ruffling Sirgia's hair lovingly. "You can call them my wives if that's easier for you. Though we aren't yet married in the public eye."

"I didn't want to presume, especially after interacting with the… others…" He looks like he is still wrapping his head around it.

"Ah, right. The others." I cringe inwardly as my previous words could make it sound like I have lots of girls outside the marriage and not care in the slightest.

"Alastair is just that much of a kind man," Sirgia comes to my defence, and even Codae nods along. "He respects all the females, no matter their circumstances or profession. He has such a big heart that he even fought past his earthly inhibitions and embraced the nature of all the different communities and races to make them feel more welcome."

"And everyone respects that and him specifically in return." The chieftess squeezes my thigh this time. "With a select few, or a few dozen, feeling a much deeper kind of respect for him."

"You are proud to have such a fine son, aren't you?"Ayumi leans into his side with a warm touch, then sneaks a peek at Noah to see if he isn't getting jealous about not being included.

"Big Brother is awesome, isn't he, Dad?" The young Catkin beams at the two of them adorably.

He might usually be rather childish, which is normal for his age, but it's clear he is a clever little bastard, taking after his father. And he's been behaving quite well today too.

"You are right," Father answers after staring me in the eyes for a moment. "Many of them consider him their hero. And from what I heard, he is an actual Hero. Goddess' Champion."

"Accidental." I point out. "She was aiming for my students, and I got swept up. Runs in the family, I guess."

"Students?" His brows furrow a tad.

"I ended up a teacher after your disappearance," I clarify. "Didn't they tell you this much?"

"I haven't met the other Heroes. They were out of the kingdom at that time." He strokes his chin thoughtfully.

"That checks out. Shino would have never let go of an opportunity to introduce herself to her father-in-law. It's always been one of her dreams that had no way of coming true." I hum to myself.

"So, you and your students…" Connor frowns even more.

Catching onto his train of thought soon after, I wave my hands defensively. "They are all of age! More than a school, I was part of something like a private tutoring institution for the gifted! And things only started after we arrived here! I would have never laid a hand on my pupils!"

"Which really pained poor Shino," Sirgia adds quietly.

I bonk her gently on the head. Revealing that one of my students had a mad crush on me would not help my case.

"Not to mention Shino is like a proper princess back in your world," she chimes in again, addressing my father directly. "A noble figure like her would have never acted improper with Alastair. And her family would have ruined him if he tried anything."

"I see." That seems to mollify my dad's suspicions. "That reminds me, I did meet the former Queen after being invited to the castle for some reason."

Oh, sweet Goddess, have mercy…

"Y-Yeah?" I reply awkwardly. "What did you two talk about?"

"It was more of an audience with the royal family, as the King was present too. They praised your good deeds and all the help you provided them, both as the Hero and a local business owner," Dad recalls slowly. "He seemed like a good guy, speaking of you like a true friend would. His mother was just as expressive, thanking me profusely for giving life to such a marvellous man, almost gushing all about you until interrupted by her son."

She certainly had been gushing one way or another…

"As we were parting, she gave me one last cordial hug and leaned into my ear, asking to pass on a message," he continues, making my entire being go rigid. "And I quote, it's been ages since my last tasting of Earth's finest prime meat, and my tongue has been positively itching for the next serving of your famous, juicy sausage. I hope you've kept honing your skills during your journeys because the moment you come back here, I'm going to lock you up in the kitchen until you literally put me into a coma."

Sirgia and Codae chuckle mirthfully while I must look unspeakably mortified.

Dad, on the other hand, laughs heartily at my expression.

"Didn't know you pursued culinary mastery to improve my family recipe." He smacks his thigh repeatedly, somehow completely missing the hidden layer. "My mother always said it's extremely dangerous. Father had to fight two other guys over it. You need to be careful, or you might get chained to that kitchen."

I don't think I would be the one chained in the kitchen…

"It's too late." My tiny lover smirks knowingly. "The Queen has already fallen for Alastair's sausage. But so have we. And we'll keep her in check. She'll have to learn to share if she wants any."

The usually composed chieftess tries her best not to burst out laughing. I give her a scolding look and almost make it worse, forcing her to cover her mouth and fake a coughing fit. Even Ayumi is glancing my way with a twinkle in her eyes. Thankfully, the other two guys in the room remain oblivious.

"Let's leave it at that. We aren't here to discuss my cooking skills." I stare the women down for a moment. "I assume there were no further accidents?"

"Not in the slightest." Connor shakes his hand dismissively. "Including the trip back here. I was introduced to the mercenary corps you started. They look truly awe-inspiring. I can't help but notice that some of their attire is clearly military-inspired, including badges for their squads and such."

"Shino is an artist and a designer. She's been working on a lot of stuff for us during her free time, weaving Earth fashion into it here and there," I explain.

"They are also trained well and follow surprisingly strict discipline," he compliments them. "I might have spent most of my time in spec ops, but these women are a level above most even professional soldiers. I didn't catch them slacking off over anything. They were laser-focused on their mission. At the same time, they didn't feel completely unapproachable. I enjoyed a chat or two, sharing some stories from my old days."

"Our recruits go through a rigorous selection process and training. I'm proud of every single one of them." I nod along. "Besides, they definitely wanted to impress you, the father of their boss. That mix of races can get a little rowdy when they are on their own, trust me."

"I can imagine." My dad snickers with understanding. "I hope there are some half-decent brothels where you sent them. You know I know from experience how much the touch of another helps with the tension and nerves. Even the best soldiers need to wind down."

Before I can answer, Sirgia levels him with a serious expression. "I would kindly advise you not to say such things again, no matter if they are or aren't around. They could take great offence at that."

He blinks at her in surprise, feeling the intensity of her gaze.

"I will take care of them, don't worry." I ruffle through her hair fondly.

Looking between the two of us, it finally clicks for him.

"Ah. I see. Sorry about that." Connor rubs the back of his neck guiltily. "I should have noticed earlier from how reverently they spoke about everything."

Ayumi claps her palms together, capturing our attention. "And so, we are here, all together. A happy family again. A bigger family. I not only got back my beloved mate but even gained a great man of a son."

"And the best big brother!" Noah shouts into the air. "And sister-in-law! Do you have any new toys?"

Our mother sighs tiredly, offering Sirgia an apologetic smile. My dainty lover doesn't mind and delves into a chat with the cat boy. He could hold back from being bored for only so long.

"Well, what are you planning to do now?" I ask both her and Father at the same time. "After you finally get enough of each other after the separation, of course."

"I caused enough trouble for a lifetime. Or two, considering different worlds." He grins at her wryly. "It will take me some time to make up for all the mistakes of my past. I hope you can visit me sometimes so that we can keep catching up."

She gazes into his eyes with pure adoration, then scrunches her cute nose. "I would want nothing more than to keep you under lock and key here with me so that I can keep smothering you with my affection, but unfortunately, I love you too much to do that to you."

Connor gapes at her incredulously.

"You are a man of action. Always has been." Ayumi strokes the outline of his chin cordially. "Sooner or later, you'll hurt from the lack of activity."

"There's plenty to do around here, Ayumi." Dad catches her hand and gives it a brush.

"No, not anymore." She shakes her head. "Not after everything Alastair has done for us. We are safer than ever. Stronger than ever. And soon we will receive even more help from the outside. Our scouts register a monster encounter barely once every two weeks or so. These new walls are solid and enchanted. Things are very peaceful."

"I don't need to fight. I could hunt. Or perhaps start a garden in the backyard." He holds onto her fluffy fingers dearly.

His words draw a quiet giggle out of her. "For a while, perhaps. But that's not who you are. You are a warrior. A protector. Even if you can't see it just yet, I've witnessed people like you struggle to find themselves without using their main talents a lot. That's why I didn't have the heart to stop you from going back then."

They stay silent for a while before she turns to me.

"The gate will be operable all the time from now on, right? And it leads to the Dwarf capital, yes? Where you are setting up those mercenaries, no?" Mom searches my eyes softly. "Maybe you could let your father in? He could take on a job or two now and then so that he doesn't lose the purpose in his life. Doesn't have to be any big tasks that lead him away for months. Just some local postings will be enough."

Sirgia beats me to answer while I still process her request.

"I'm afraid it won't be possible," she says calmly. "One of the main conditions requested from the founding members and the management is that Utopia's forces can't include males in their legions. For the sake of everyone's comfort. Even if it's Master's father, and even if the order came straight from Master, it would break an important promise and undermine everything the corps stands for."

It certainly is true, and Ayumi deflates hearing the response, however…

"While my proud mate is correct, it only concerns direct employment," I join in, all eyes moving to me. "Our rules say nothing about joint operations or friendly cooperation. We can help Connor register his own company, where he would be the only member or seek more companions, all up to him. Then, he could sign up for requests alongside us. The girls would be able to keep up our perfect image and he would be able to experience everything our troops have to offer, save for the most sensitive and private matters, of course."

"That… could work." Sirgia mulls it over briefly. "It would ultimately be up to the squad captains and their parties if they didn't mind such a company, but it's a possibility."

The cuddly feline presses herself into Dad's side and nuzzles her muzzle into his neck, purring loudly, sharing her joy with everyone present.

Meanwhile, my father gapes at us in disbelief. "You would… do so much for me?"

"I would give you the world if it were up to me." I chuckle amusedly. "Perhaps I should start with a kingdom first and then work my way up. An emperor needs his vassals, as the ladies would say."

"First, we need to solve our own issues," Sirgia reminds us of the matters at hand. "After we deal with Stockhawkers and take control of the capital, we'll put things into motion. Much more easily at that."

"Smart girl." I sneak a tiny kiss on her cheek from the side. "And as much as I enjoy sitting around like this, we probably should return to those matters right now. Our friends will undoubtedly call for us real soon. It's been a pleasure, Father, Mother. We'll be visiting daily, that I can promise you."

As we begin standing up, Ayumi pulls back, still peering at her mate. "Would you like to join them?"

Connor matches her gaze. "Are you sure?"

"A quick trip back to civilisation could do you well. I can give you a shopping list if you would like." She grins at him, then goes for his lips, passionately, with a lot of tongue, and breaks apart, pinning him with a deadly stare. "And if you ever run from me like the last time, I'll just sic Alastair's girls after you."

The second line is delivered with such intensity that it makes him shiver to the core.

"I'll pack you lunch!" Ayumi is back to her adorable smile right after and speeds into the kitchen.

Leaving him and Noah to wait for her, the rest of us make our way out of the house, gathering in front of the door.

"So… You are leaving already?" Codae speaks without looking at me as she kicks a rock away.

I take one glance at her, then at our surroundings, and grab the athletic woman by the nape of her neck, drawing a surprised yelp from my captive. We disappear into the gap between houses, and I slam her back into the wall. The grunt she lets out is quickly replaced by a whimper of need as my mouth crashes into hers with sheer dominance.

When I'm done with her, the strong chieftess is left panting and hazy.

"Don't… Do that…" She manages between breaths.

"Do what?" I raise a brow at her, running my thumb along her jawline.

"Kiss like this… Then leave me hanging…" Codae huffs in annoyance, turning her face away. "I don't need kisses… I need your cock in my pussy…"

She still gives me an expectant side glance, waiting for my decision. I spot movement in the corner of my eye and catch a flying object on instinct. It turns out to be the mansion in a suitcase. Sirgia stands at the entrance to the alley with one arm extended, a puddle of darkness dissipating behind her, the fleeting evidence of a four-legged courier.

"I'll take your father to the headquarters," she states with a tiny smirk towards the much taller female. "Don't be late."

With that, she turns around and walks back to the front.

I look at the object in my hand, then meet Codae's eyes.

Holding the connection, I lob the suitcase to the ground, causing it to pop open.

"Get in." I gesture at it with my head. "In and out. Twenty-minute adventure."

Licking her lips, the Raccoonkin lady wordlessly hops into the mysterious rectangle, the noise of boots running down the stairs echoing within. I chuckle to myself and follow after her, closing the lid.

How handy to have a portable love hotel at hand.
