Shawn was surprised to see her there and tried to talk to her, "hey Hope, What are you doing here?"
Before he could make any excuses, she just kicked him in his stomach strongly. As he didn't except such a move from her, he fell on the ground a few distance away.
Before he could steady himself and stood up, she grabbed his collar in one hand and landed a few more punches in face. Then she tore & throwed the tickets she bought for him in his injured face and left the place.
The next day Shawn parents arrived at Hope's home and made a huge scene in front of their house and even asked her family for a huge amount for settlement threatening them by saying that if they refused to pay, they would take the issues to the police to lodge a complaint against her legally.
When her family was about to reach a settlement with them, Hope came and denied the charges against her, refused to pay any settlements and asked them to do whatever they wanted.
No one in the police station believed that Hope assaulted Shawn, when they lodged a complaint against Hope.
Who would believe that a skinny girl would assault a boy, that too a muscular one who practised sports without even getting any scratches on her as they were not aware of the fact that Hope practiced martial arts from a very young age.
The case was ultimately dropped as there was proof to back up the charges against her and even Shawn's friends didn't help him saying he didn't saw anything even though he witnessed everything clearly.
After this incident everyone thought that Hope would be heartbroken and wouldn't even come out of her room for a very long time.
But to everyone's surprise she didn't do that. Yes, she did feel heartbroken but she didn't blame anyone. it was her who choose to date him. So, she is ready to take responsibility for her decisions.
She didn't want her family and friends to be worried about her. Thus she pretended be strong for those who care about her and never let them know how much she was hurt by the incident.
The next day morning, she surprised everyone with a very warm smile on her face as if nothing happened.
Even though they were confused, they didn't ask her anything as they were afraid of hurting her and making things worse.
Everyone thought that she was weird. But she is not. She cares for the ones she love and those who love her. but once someone broke her trust she would never forgive them again. There is no excuses or forgiveness for those betraying her.
She would sometime used to think about what would have happened if she didn't make the decision to date Shawn. Would she have fallen for someone nice and experienced all those happiness in small things.
'No one Can change the past' that she knows. But she can make a future as per her dream.
Thus, she made a decision to follow her heart and take things with Adrian to the end as far as she could. But she wants someone who loves her and not her wealth. Hence, she decided to hide her identity from him.
"Hope.. Hope....." she slowly came to the present hearing her grand mother's voice.
She smiled at her grandmother and talked a while after sending her grandmother home.
Her grandmother tried to convince Hope to stay at home but she refused exactly like she had expected.
After sending her grandmother home, she also retreated to her new apartment. All her things were neatly arranged at their respective places.
As she had a long day, she decided to skip dinner and entered her bedroom to rest.
She simply lied down there and stared at the roof blankly. After a few moments, she started to feel a pain slowly increasing in her right hand.
The pain was from the burn injury in her hand from before. She never liked to show her weakness to others. Thus, when Adrian offered to help she refused it. Now that she is alone, she finally treated her wound after disinfecting it.
