The Fourth Strand. Something Akiol was looking for. Originally he had thought that he'd find them stored within the various continents. His trip to the West didn't prove fruitful, but he couldn't discredit the fact that he likely missed it.
Regardless. There was one Strand he did find. Located within the Arcane Athenaeum. The owner of the Arcane Athenaeum stated he'd give it over in exchange for information on the tenth Hero.
Recently it was revealed that the Founder was actually the Tenth Hero. So not only did Akiol find reasonable amount of information, he also knew exactly where the Founder was heading.
In fact this was the very first thing on Akiol's plans to do once they returned. However he was faced with a very swift 48 hour downtime for the update. Now that he knew the truth about A World's Legacy Akiol had inwardly wondered what exactly this 'update' actually was.
