Akiol woke up sluggishly, his whole body felt slow.
A voice could be heard, "He's awake."
Another voice commanded, "Give him another dose, we aren't ready yet."
"Isn't too much of this stuff lethal?"
"Just do it."
Akiol felt something pierce his arm and his vision faded again.
. . .
Akiol woke up again, this time no one was around to notice. He still felt sluggish and slow, no chance at escape currently.
He frowned to slightly offset the pain from a headache and blinked as his eyes adjusted to the room.
The place he was in didn't seem overly secured. The walls looked ordinary, the roof looked like the kind with removable sections.
He examined his current situation. His legs and arms were bound by two chains. They intertwined with his chair. Akiol examined the chair, it was one of those old plastic ones. With hollow metal cylinders to keep it standing.
It seemed a little outdated, Akiol was confident in escaping once he regained his senses.
