"I, Cecilia of Marmador, house of the stallion, pledge to keep the young prince safe." I stated. I was in one of the lower ranks of the knights and I just graduated from training. My brother, Jonah, just made it into training. The job paid well and our father had been a higher ranking knight. We figured it may not be bad to follow in his footsteps.
I swept my red hair behind me as I took my sword. My family were standing in the doorway.
"Sir Lucas, I didn't see you there. Would you mind to escort Miss Cecilia to the castle? Her new role is a watchman."
"Yes, General Sir."
I took my place behind my father as he motioned for me to follow. We walked through the dirty training grounds to get to the carriage. It was a two room build with delicate looking blue and white fabrics draped down. Pale gold laces were drawn like curtains at the entrance. Father motioned for me to get in the back and mother gave me a change of clothes. The new clothes fit better and more comfortably than my ragged training clothes.
