The next day, when Dakhin was returning with his group to the teleport formation, Roan joined them again. Dakhin, obviously, was fuming! "Where the hell did you go?! I thought you had died! I was responsible for this group, and you already tried to cause trouble?! How are you still even alive?!"
Roan looked at him, his expression showing confusion. "But... Elder Ruriklin said we needed to get twenty Demon Beast Cores of Stage Three or Four, didn't he? So I left to hunt twenty of them. Look."
Then, Roan showed the twenty cores he acquired after separating from the group.
"What?!" Dakhin looked at that, his eyes open wide. Roan wasn't even in the Core Formation Realm yet, so how did he get to kill twenty Stage Three Demon Beasts that easily? "No, wait! What are you talking about? Who said it was twenty cores each? It was twenty cores as a group!"
