Roan shook his head. 'No, that's not entirely correct. It's not that the Godly Creatures here are stronger than those inside the Protected Areas. It's the opposite. The Godly Creatures in the Protected Areas are weaker than those in the Outer World. The creatures here are what they should have been from the very beginning. This is their true strength, plain and simple.'
Howard looked at Roan in surprise. 'Now that I think about it... Yeah, you're right. That has to be it. After all, the Protected Areas are ridiculously tiny pockets of land or sea compared to the Outer World. The creatures here must be the real deal, not the other way around.'
The Sacred Relics and Protected Areas around had made life more manageable for cultivators, but they had also created an environment where Godly Creatures no longer represented their natural strength.
