Lin Mu's expression became solemn and for the first time since they had arrived, the arrogance on his face faded slightly.
"That," Lin Mu said, "is because I was."
Silence descended across the group and several elders stared at him.
The Law Division High Elder frowned deeply. "Impossible."
Lin Mu's eyes sharpened.
"Junior," he said quietly, "you have called me an imposter, questioned my robes, questioned my authority, and now you question my age. Continue down this path and I may begin questioning whether the Law Division still teaches manners."
The elder's face darkened but before he could respond, another spatial fluctuation appeared. A black dot formed several hundred meters away and rapidly expanded into a portal.
Then another appeared and several more. It was clear that more elders were arriving.
