Asagi PoV
My name is Asagi Aiba, and this is my story when I first met Kamijou Touma, a boy I really like. Right before I joined ITEM, or before I could attend the same school as him.

The memories I had of when I met Kamijou-kun could be described as both quite memorable and strange at the same time.
At that time I was a level one technopath, so I could use my ability to control the technology around me with a certain limit. And I'm trying to raise my skills to level 2 at a research site owned by Hiko Seijuro XIII, the grandfather of Kamijou-kun. When I was resting after the ability test for more than twelve hours.
I saw a boy who was the same age as me, asleep sitting in the dimly lit waiting room of the research area. And he fell asleep right in my favorite place, where I often sat alone staring at the open laptop on my lap to make programs or just browse the internet.
The boy was wearing a red shirt and he had messy black hair.
The clock on the wall shows that it's nine o'clock at night. There should be no more guests visiting this research place. So what is the boy actually doing in this place?
I want to wake up the boy, then shoo him away so I can browse or play online games at my favorite place.
I don't like it at all when someone else occupies the seat that I already think is rightfully mine.
But there's no way I could just wake him up and force him to leave, because that kind of thing is against my morals.
I sighed, then I sat next to the boy, and opened my laptop, to play my favorite online game. Of course I played while wearing headphones, so I wouldn't disturb the researchers that working in this building.
Right after I played for thirty minutes, the boy who occupied my favorite spot opened his eyes that looked like the eyes of someone who lacked sleep. He yawned widely then looked at me and said;
"Excuse me, what time is it?"
I once again sighed and answered the boy's question;
"It's now 9:32 p.m., exactly two and a half hours before midnight."
"Hoaaaahm, I've been asleep for over four hours I see, why isn't Kotori's ability test over yet? Even though it was said that Kotori's test only took two hours at most. Was there anything else that made the test even longer?"
The boy seemed to be waiting for someone to finish doing an aptitude test at this research site. And from the name I heard coming out of his mouth, it seemed that the person he was waiting for was a girl.
Was the girl he was waiting for the girl younger than me who took the aptitude test right in the room next door to where I was taking the test? From what I heard that girl is a level 3 Gemstone Prokinesis.
If the boy beside me is related by blood to that girl, is he also a Gemstone with the same ability?
"If I keep waiting in this place, I might stiffen my body. I'd better go to the gym now to do a little warm-up, then come back here and wait for Kotori again."
Gym? Is there a Gym in this research area? How come I don't know at all! Even though I've done an aptitude test at this research site for three years! If only I knew that there was a Gym in this place, then I wouldn't bother having to register for the super luxurious Gym in the middle of Academy City. The place is indeed complete with facilities, it's just that the monthly fee from the Gym is very expensive! Even though I am the daugther of a rich man, that doesn't mean I can waste my family's money at will. I even got scolded by my father because I signed up for that gym.
"Eh, sorry if I bother you, but I was wondering if it's true that in this research location there is a gym to exercise?"
I who felt curious about the truth of what he said decided to ask him, I don't know if he's lying or not. But it never hurts to ask right?
"Hmm? Yes at this research site there is a Gym. That only me, my little sister Kotori or my grandfather can access, because that gym is a private gym specially made for my grandfather."
Private gym he said! And what only he, his grandfather and his younger sister could access was the Gemstone Pyrokinesis. That's really unfair! Hey wait a minute! If his grandfather was able to set up a private gym in the safest and biggest research site in Academy City, does that mean that his grandfather was Hiko Seijuro XIII who founded this research site. And one of my father's clients?
"Th-if you can access that private Gym, which your grandfather said was built. Does that mean you are the grandson of Hiko Seijuro XIII?"
"Yup he is my grandfather, and so is Kotori."
That boy, it turns out, really is the grandson of Hiko Seijuro XIII! Ah wait a minute he could have lied to me, but if I look again he has a slight resemblance to Hiko Seijuro whose face I saw from one of the photos in this research site.
"My name is Asagi Aiba a level 1 Technopath, who got my powers at this research site, may I know your name and most importantly may I come with you to exercise at the Gym?"
I introduced myself as best I could, because I absolutely didn't want to miss the opportunity to be in a gym where I didn't have to pay. I may sound like a poor curmudgeon, but the reason I'm doing what I'm doing is so I can stop going to super expensive gyms and my dad can stop yelling at me.
"My name is Kamijou Touma, grandson of Hiko Seijuro XIII, of course you may come with me Aiba-san, because working out alone in a very large gym is not fun."
He said that to me while showing a charming smile that made my heart beat very fast. I can't believe that a man could make me feel this way! Just my childhood friend who can be considered as a man with a pretty face can't make my heart flutter at all.
That's the short story of my first meeting with Kamijou Touma who became my first love, I myself have forgotten when I fell in love with him and came to like him, maybe I fell in love with him after we often exercised together in the gym at the research site.
Or maybe for something else? I don't care about that anymore, because for me that kind of thing is not important.
Well, the story of my meeting with him is cliche and strange, but what is clear to me is that my meeting with him is very important.
Brcause thanks to him I was able to change myself into a better person and my Esper Level increased from one to two.
