All of them ride the new horses and they reached the academy soon. The academy was empty, and no one could be seen in the academy.
Of course, was the academy empty, this time was holidays, and nobody went to the academy. Only people like Noah and the others, who wanted to join the academy, were there.
The academy was big and looked old and ancient. And because it was empty, you could see a lot of details of the academy, you would not see in a normal day.
"Wow, this is also the first academy founded by the first emperor. I heard a lot of stories about this place."
David was amazed to be here, then this was not a common academy. This academy was built to train the magicians and knights, that established the empire. That why the first academy of the Goldenkrone empire was built in the border city and not in the capital.
"Sabrina, can you remember when our father told us about the legend of this place?"
Sabrina began to remember and then she replied with enthusiasm:
"Do you mean about the treasure of the first emperor? Yes, it is incredible. Dad told us this story every night and we had to listen to it every time."
David and Sabrina began to remember the good old times and they were smiling the whole time while talking about it.
Max and Noah, who had no clue about what they were talking about, stood there and did not bother them. But then Noah asked:
"Which story are you talking about? You look so excited when you speak about it."
David did a strange expression and asked:
"Do you no know the legend about this academy? It's one of the most common bed night stories for children."
"Of course not, if I knew I would not have asked you."
David breath profoundly and then began to tell the summary of the story:
"The story is about a hidden treasure here in this academy and the legend says that it was hidden by the founder of the empire and only the worthy person will find it."
"Did somebody already find the treasure?"
Sabrina and David looked each other and began to laugh:
"This is only a bedtime story; it is only a story. Nobody has ever found something about the treasure. There were many people who tried to find it, but nobody could find anything."
Noah nodded, but he was sure that something about this story was true. If a bedtime story was so successful, then it should have something true on it. It needed only the right person to understand it.
Then they entered the academy and went to the registration office. Because the academy was in the border and nobody went there, because it was treated as a second rank academy and was not worthy for a lot of people. Even the people from Berbary City travelled to the first rank academies to study.
Therefor the registration to this academy was very lax and easy, they had only to pay the registration fees and they could be a student in the academy.
The only good think about this second rank academy was that as a historical and important place of the empire, it has the same resources as the first rank academies. But the problem were the instructors in the academy, they were bad and incompetent. So, the academy was a second rank academy instead of a first rank academy.
"You have to pay 30 Gold Stars and you can join the academy."
In the moment they entered the office, they heard the voice of a woman talking to them. She did not even salute them, she asked for money directly.
"Hello, we want to join the academy."
"Pay 30 Gold Stars."
The four youths looked each other and were shocked about the level of unfriendliness of this woman, but at the end they nodded, and Noah paid for the four of them.
"Here is your ID, mark it with your mana and then you can use it to enter the academy. The classes will begin next week, and you must wear the academy uniforms."
"These are the uniforms, and these are the rules book of the academy."
The woman began to speak fast, and she took many things out from under the desk. A few uniforms, IDs, and books. They did not have even the time to ask something before she went to another room to do hide. She did not want to give them the opportunity to anything.
Sabrina, Max, David, and Noah stood there in the office speechless and looking at the things on the desk, before Noah said:
"If we were not in shortage of techniques and resources, we wouldn't come to this shitty academy. But this is the only place where we can have sufficient freedom and resources."
