"Time to shine!" Beau shouted, whirling a bean in his palm like a slingshot bullet. A gust of wind launched it forward, curving beautifully, only for Aleck to swat it aside with raw draconic strength.
"Not today, Beau!" Aleck barked, hurling a bean back with such force it dented the ground where Beau had been a second before.
"Whoa—! Too much arm day, Aleck!" Beau laughed nervously, ducking behind cover.
Leonel took advantage of Beau's retreat, water magic coating his beans, sending them flying like bullets. Beau twisted, spun, and deflected with wind gusts, but there were too many. Aleck and Leonel were working together seamlessly, cutting off every escape.
A pink bean whizzed past, clipping Beau's arm. His life points dropped sharply. He gasped. "Hey! I'm fragile!"
"Fragile?" Aleck snorted, pelting another bean his way. "You're obnoxious!"
