The classroom buzzed with subdued chatter as Professor Samuela stepped onto the platform at the front. As usual, she was breathtaking—long flowing hair, a tailored uniform that emphasized her lithe figure, and eyes that sparkled with intelligence and mischief.
Then she spoke.
"Alright, settle down, you brats."
A collective, internal whiplash rippled through the class.
It was always like this.
The contradiction of her divine appearance and her deep, gravelly, almost comically manly voice never failed to shock new students and amuse the rest. Aranea had to bite her tongue to keep from giggling. Even Elenea beside her stifled a chuckle behind her hand.
Professor Samuela gave a withering glare that made even the rowdiest students sit up straight. "Today, we'll be discussing mystical beasts—especially those that once roamed the edges of the Aetherwood, a place quite far from Mystic Academy."
