The sudden voice made both of them stop in their tracks.
They turned around simultaneously.
"Xiangnan? You..." Li Zaijun looked at the person who had somehow caught up with them, momentarily stunned.
Shen Lin, however, stared at the man, eyes slightly narrowed.
Chen Xiangnan had just dropped her off and heard the phone ringing from the back seat, so he had no choice but to turn the car around.
As he drove back from the other side of the road, he saw her approaching this apartment complex through the barrier.
"You forgot your phone; it fell in the car, and I only realized you didn't have it when someone called."
He reached out and handed her the phone.
"Ah...! The phone actually fell."
Li Zaijun instinctively patted her clothes pocket and bag, and sure enough, the phone was missing.
"Sorry for troubling you, I'm so confused, leaving the phone in the car and making you come back." She kept apologizing as she took the phone.
