"Ray" A name was called.
"Ray" And this name was repeated but… Whoever was being called was not responding.
It took a few seconds but eventually, Ray stirred, it had hit him. That was his name.
All of a sudden a wave of pain also struck him.
"Urgh...!" This however hit him a lot harder.
"What…?" Ray looked up. His body was a total mess but the more shocking thing was that before him stood Balin or, a wooden carving of him?
"It's me" Balin said, monotone.
Ray felt a shiver crawl up his spine.
"What happened to you?" Ray asked, his mind still reeling from his sudden awakening.
"I'm not sure" Balin replied and a period of silence was all that followed. Things were… Awkward.
Ray had an awakening in more ways than one after the misfortune that befell them at the hands of the dungeon but that didn't mean he wanted to take accountability for the failing of their objective.
