Morning arrived over the demon realm beneath a sky of deep crimson.
The mountain valley was quiet.
Mist drifted between the black trees, curling around the rocks and disappearing beneath the pale light of dawn. Far above, enormous floating islands moved slowly across the sky, their shadows passing over the valley like silent clouds.
Luna stood in the center of the training ground.
Her championship cloak was nowhere to be seen.
Neither was the mask of Black Raven.
Today, she wasn't the mysterious swordswoman who had conquered the underground arena.
She was simply Luna.
And standing several dozen meters away from her was Orpheus.
He looked completely relaxed.
That alone irritated her.
Luna tightened her grip around her sword.
She had spent the entire previous day fighting.
Ten opponents.
Ten victories.
Her final opponent had been the undefeated King of the Arena.
She had defeated him.
And now, after experiencing that victory, something inside Luna had changed.
