In the quiet night, the only sound was that of a television program from the TV, intermittently mixed with ambiguous smacking noises. Pei Hao and Guoguo's breaths were no longer steady; he released Guoguo and, looking at her flushed cheeks, asked softly, "Is it okay?"
Guoguo blushed even more, and under Pei Hao's burning gaze, she let out a soft "mhmm." Though the sound was faint, it lit up Pei Hao's eyes. He picked up Guoguo and walked into the bedroom.
Gently placing Guoguo on the bed, Pei Hao flipped over to join her, looking down at her. "It's still not too late to regret this," he said, hanging on to his last shred of rationale, knowing there would be no chance for regrets later on.
Guoguo's cheeks grew even redder, her eyelashes quivering, yet she dared not meet his gaze. Hearing his words, though, she looked up and met his eyes. Without saying anything, she reached out, grabbed the front of his shirt, pulled him down a bit, and kissed Pei Hao's lips.
