The Chaos Continent seems like just a piece of land in the Endless Chaos, but it also has specific entrances. Apart from those entrances, other areas are sealed by a Big Array. If one tries to force their way in, the consequences are their own to bear.
The Continent's Sealing Array is mainly to guard against invasions by the Devouring Sky Clan's creatures. These beings are very active within the Endless Chaos; no one knows when one might pop up to devour the Chaos Continent. Without a Sealing Array, the Devouring Sky Clan's creatures could descend upon the Continent and cause enormous destruction in a very short time.
