"Feeling better now?"
Looking at Ye Ye, whose complexion had returned to normal, the Elf Warrior chuckled.
Ye Ye took a deep breath and nodded:
"Yes."
The background music in his ears turned into a cheerful elf tune celebrating victory, lifting everyone's spirits.
Ye Ye glanced around, looking at the civilian NPCs rescued by players, and sighed:
"It's so great that the Goddess could help out."
"This is war. Real-world wars are much crueler than this. There's no Goddess, and historically, they've not only used civilians as cannon fodder but as human shields, and even massacred cities without a second thought."
Facing Gale, he shook his head.
"But history is just history; it's nothing but pale numbers and words. I never imagined that being in it myself would have such a huge impact on my heart..."
Ye Ye sighed.
"That's quite normal."
Facing Gale nodded.
