Other than my new guards coming, Friday was uneventful. My new Human guards were Cobra, Mary, and Tyrion, and my Shifter guards were Amy from the Ayakashi and Castiel from the Dragons. They were informed on how to do the patrols before my last guards left for a four day break. Friday flew by and before we knew it, it was Saturday.
Getting dressed in a pair of black khaki shorts, a Disturbed t-shirt, black Converse, and my jewelry, I sent the studio's address to my guards, Adam, and Jacob. Adam was going to drive us in his Jeep. Once everyone had their GPS set, we were off to the studio. When we arrived, we went to the front desk to check in.
"Hi, my name is Andrew Slate. My brothers and I have an appointment with Hannah Gaeaf." I said to the receptionist lady, whose nametag read Jill.
"And what's the name of your group?" Jill asked, typing on her computer.
"Dragon's Blood." Josh replied with a smile. He was still proud of coming up with the band's name.
"All right, you're checked in. I'll make sure that Ms. Gaeaf knows that you're here." She said when she was done typing. We all sat down as we waited for our manager to come get us. It didn't take long before she arrived.
"I'm so glad you guys could make it. If you'll follow me, I'll show you to our meeting room. And don't worry, your guards can come with us." Hannah said as we all got up and followed behind her. Getting to the meeting room, there were already two other people there. Sitting down, Hannah spoke again.
"Before we begin, I would like you to meet Jennifer, our residential designer." Hannah said while pointing to the female. "And this is Christopher, our graphic designer. Their jobs are to create your outfits and the artwork for your band." She said after pointing to the last man.
After Hannah introduced the two new people, my guards, brothers, Jacob, and I went around and introduced ourselves as well. When that was done, Jennifer went over her plan for our outfits. Because we leaned more toward the rock, and my personal style was more emo, she wanted to combine the two. She suggested skinny jeans or cargo pants, combat boots or Converse, and a band t-shirt that she would be working on with Christopher, for us to wear.
We had no issues with her outfit designs, and now it was Christopher's turn. Our original Dragon's head logo was made more realistic with brighter colors that made it pop. It was now more angular, the scales and teeth more defined, and the yellow eyes looked almost life-like. I don't know how he managed it, but it almost looked like Magnis's head staring at us from the page.
"So this is what I have so far, and I wanted your opinions on it." Christopher said after the page was passed around.
"Honestly? I love it. To be truthful, it almost looks like my Dragon, Magnis's, actual head." I said, admiring his skills.
"That's great! I was thinking of this being used for your shirts as well as the banners and posters." He said, relieved that we liked it so much.
"Now that those tasks are out of the way, there's something else that I suggest we do." Hannah said once we were done talking about the picture.
"Oh? What's that?" I asked, curious as to what she wanted to do.
"I suggest doing a live interview. Considering everyone saw the broadcast with the Royal Council, they'll already know about Andrew's identity. But that just means more questions to answer. And we can do the interviews one at a time so that everyone has an equal opportunity to be asked questions." Hannah said, explaining her idea.
I've never liked being the center of attention, but I knew this would help us. Looking at my brothers who nodded, I turned back to Hannah and agreed to the interview. She said that she would talk to the school about doing it in the auditorium on the next half day, which was next Friday. This way, it didn't interfere with school and our classmates could ask questions as well.
We were okay with this, and soon Hannah was showing us around the studio. She showed us the different recording rooms, break rooms, where the bathrooms were, and anything else she thought we should know. Soon our hour meeting was over and we agreed to be back here in two weeks. On the way home, we stopped to get lunch from Sonic before continuing our drive.
When we got home, we threw away our trash before going to the game room. Our game room had an air hockey table, a foosball table, an X-Box 360, and another Playstation 5. My brothers formed two teams and played on the foosball table while Jacob and Amber played on the air hockey table. Meanwhile, I turned on the X-Box 360 and played Guitar Hero. I was halfway through Almost Easy by Avenged Sevenfold, on expert guitar, when my dad walked in. He waited for me to finish the song before he spoke.
"So, how did the meeting go with Ms. Hannah?" He asked once all games were paused. We all sat on the couches to talk about the meeting.
"It was good. She introduced us to an outfit coordinator and a graphic designer. They already had ideas that they shared, and we liked them, so they're going to start working on them." I began explaining when Josh handed me a bottle of water.
"Oh? Ideas like what?" Dad asked, his curiosity peaked. I then explained the ideas for our outfits and the graphic design that we were shown. Dad was impressed at how efficient they were, but that wasn't even the surprise from the meeting.
"Yeah, but the surprise was what Ms. Hannah suggested. She wants to do a live interview with us at the school next Friday since it's a half day." Josh added, excited about the attention we will soon get as a band.
"Why t the school?" Dad asked, curiosity now in his voice.
"That way our peers can also ask questions. It'll also help spread news about us. Even if they don't like Andrew, teens are always excited about new bands." Adam said, explaining the logic behind it.
"Exactly. Ms. Hannah just has to talk to the school about it Monday." I said, finishing the meeting summary.
"Well, I'm just glad that it went well. Let me know what Ms. Hannah says about the interview, and I'll ask Captain Deus if he could spare a few officers to help with crowd control." Dad said, getting up to leave. "Oh! Before I forget. Jacob and Amber, would you like to stay for dinner? My wife is making spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and a salad." He said at the door.
"We'd love to, just let us make sure it's okay with our parents." Amber said, smiling. I also asked dad about going over to their Pack for the weekend and he agreed that it would be fine. Jacob and Amber did stay for dinner and we enjoyed talking and eating before they had to leave for the night.
