Pressing my hand against the crystal, the only sensation is the cold touch no different from the other devices around, along with the faint vibration emitted during the crystal's operation. This time, I didn't make the gesture of greeting a rock—because last time I was ridiculed for it.
But perhaps it was just an illusion; I always felt like I should hear some sort of response, even for an instant, even if it's just a vague echo. Somehow, I believed I should hear a "voice" from this crystal. This baseless feeling was bewildering. I don't know how I came up with this idea, but once it appeared, it became uncontrollable. Yes, a response. Something should respond to me here, but it's gone now.
"Ah Jun, is there something wrong with the crystal?" Sandora watched me in silence for a while and couldn't help but get curious, "Are you thinking of greeting this crystal again? Didn't you try that last time?"
"Greeting the crystal?" Gaia curiously repeated.
