Lava, to ordinary people, must seem like a deadly and dangerous substance, especially considering that this lava's heat source comes from the Earth's Core (although the temperature surely doesn't reach Earth Core Level), which makes it even more terrifying. However, to a group that dare to swim freely in a Constant Star, lava is just so-so. The only issue is that it's usually sticky and uncomfortable, and once it cools on you, it turns into hard-to-clean nickel-iron slag; that's the only trouble lava gives us. But of course, once the Shield is up, even that little trouble can be ignored. By the way, one additional note, to Sandora, fresh lava tastes pretty bad, which is another drawback. In summary, to us, crossing the Magma Lake is actually no different from swimming through a warm spring.
I originally thought the situation for Char would be much the same...
