Sometimes, many things can't be scrutinized too deeply, especially when they first appear to be quite remarkable. Like the Great Demon Kings sitting on their dark thrones, waiting for heroes to shove them around—can you imagine them sitting there exuding an aura of dominance, wearing that armor that takes three hours to take off, without ever taking a break in a full twenty-four hours? Or those heroes standing atop mountain peaks, singing in the wind with grand cloaks—don't they get frustrated when they find the knot tied on their war robe has become a dead knot when they get home? Those dandies with feather fans and brocade gowns, who seem so poised and dignified, also have childhood memories of being chased down long streets by their parents. Wu Zetian was formidable, wasn't she? But she too had her monthly periods!
