In the Qianyu Hall, kneeling before the Empress Dowager Chi were dozens of soldiers from the Chi Prison Army.
In the battle with the Tongtian Tribe, two great Demon Emperors of the Demon World appeared, and many soldiers of the Chi Prison Army were entangled by the subordinates of the Demon King Tongtian and the Golden Horn Demon King.
By the time they returned to the banquet site, they could no longer find any trace of Chi Ye.
Not only that, they searched the entire Tongtian Tribe that night, but could not find any messages left by Chi Ye.
The Chi Prison Army originally thought Chi Ye had returned to the Beiyu Palace, but upon returning to Qianyu City, they realized that the Demon Emperor Chi Ye had not returned at all.
Only then did the Chi Prison Army realize the gravity of the situation— the Demon Emperor Chi Ye had mysteriously disappeared.
Several dozen of them together went to the Empress Dowager Chi to confess their failure.
