The Six had traveled all day as the sun was setting they decide to set up a small campsite and a small campfire with the aide of Victor.
Once the camp was set up everyone sat around the fire. As Adam was pulling food out of the knapsack he asked Jason " we don't know anything about your life so why don't you tell us about your life so that we can get to know you better."
Jason tensed up at this but relaxed and sighed then repling calmly but annoyed " very well tell you about my life" he leaned close to the fire so that the fire emulated his face.
"but to know I must tell you about my origin." Everyone quieted as the fire dimmed as Jason told them his Origin.
" I was born on the Planet Nyria in the Nhgar system. My youth was spent on the streets of Nyria this is where I learned the art of survival and how to con people."
These skills became my only way to get food I never knew my mother or my father."
Jason was silent for a moment before continuing. "Sixteen years pass and day I came across a tall man wearing a long red trench coat walking with a silver can with a snakes head on it. The man said, " how much have you coned from the common man?
" I replied, " not enough to live like you." The man replied, " if you want to live in a king then come and join my crew and I will teach you and show you things that you would never believe."
I asked the man " what is your name?" the man replied, " My name is Captain Blackjack."
" I will think about it," Jason Replied Captain Blackjack said, " very well when you are ready I will be waiting for you at the Laughing Jackal inn and pub."
As Jason was walking back to where he slept in the streets he thought about it this is a chance of a lifetime and there no way that his parents are coming to save him from his life on the streets.
So he ran to the Laughing Jackal and said yes to Captain Blackjack. Blackjack shook his hand and said " welcome to your new life as a space pirate Jason Blackheart.
I sailed the cosmos with Blackjack for several years as his first mate he taught me how to use a sword, how to shoot a plasma gun, and many other skills that I have used. But unknown to him I was creating a mutiny in the crew. After eight years of being his first mate, I started my mutiny and took over Blackjacks ship.
I then killed Blackjack by shooting him twelve times in the chest and then I pushed his lifeless body into a black hole and I watched as his body was ripped apart. I then became the most wanted Space pirate in the Multi-Verse.
Jason ended his tale and the six were all stunned and speechless. There was a period of silence until Ralingar said: " we should all go to bed so that we can get an early start to reach the Sea of the Northern Kings."
Everyone agreed that they needed to get some sleep so they put out the fire and went to sleep that is everyone except for Adam who was wondering if Jason has alternative motives for coming to Tylingariea. Adam decided to put these worries away and to go to bed so that he would be well-rested for the journey to the Sea of the Northern Kings
Early the next morning Kai'la awoke to see that Adam was already out of bed. " I guess he's training again." Kai'la put on her training gear and saw that the date was her birthday. Luke saw her and saw that Kai'la seemed upset so he sat beside her and kindly spoke
" Ms. La'gar are you ok?" Luke said softly.
Kai'la was silent " yes, can I talk to you please." Kai'la asked
Luke nodded, " ok, what is wrong."
Kai'la did not speak for a moment
" what would you do if after twenty years you finally remember your birthday?"
Luke paused and took out a small cupcake that he had from the bakery downstairs and said in a kind gentle voice.
" if it were me, I would wish you a happy birthday,"
He gave the cupcake to Kai'la and said " happy birthday."
Kai'la put the cupcake up saying she was going to eat it later and got dressed " oh, by the way where is Nina?" Luke said
Kai'la put on her jacket " outside training with her dagger. I am going to meet her out there in a moment"
Kai'la walked outside with lighting fast reflexes she grabbed the blade of Nina's knife before it impacted with her throat.
" sorry!" Nina said as she put her blade back on her belt. " it is fine, that is the third time I had to do that." Kai'la said
Nina replied, " that reminds me, can you teach me how to fight in Kailingareon style." Kai'la nodded " ok. But it will not be easy."
Adam sat in a secluded area away from the others as he trained using his abilities with Ralingar.
The clash of Eon Steel could be heard as Ralingar and Adam spared but Ralingar could see Adam was thinking about other things.
" Adam lets talk you look like you have some stuff on your mind." Ralingar said as they put away there wepons and sat beside each other.
" Ralingar..you knew Draco Dra'ghoul right?" Adam asked its something he had been wondering for sometime. Ralingar was silent for a moment then replied " Yes..for a while but not physically." Ralingar said trying to say things in a way that would not make things anymore confusing then they already were.
Adam nodded and said " thats fine. From the time youve been with him.." Adam hesitated " Do you think I am worthy of being called a Dra'ghoul? Like do I measure up to him?"
The area between them became intensely silent as Ralingar looked at Adam unsure of how to respond to such a question.
Ralingar could not have known that the burden of Adam being told he is destined to uphold such a legacy has weighed hevey on his mind, heart and soul
Ralingar spoke calmly and gently "You dont need to compare yourself to him Being of the Dra'ghoul Bloodline is about your own journey and crafting your own destiny with the powers you have. Your worth is what you make of it."
