Summer Ford also found it hard to sleep, mainly because she was guarding against his unruly behavior.
Perhaps his gaze was too intense, as she leaned against the window for barely two minutes and suddenly opened her eyes.
Their eyes met, and seeing his profound dark pupils locking onto hers, she was slightly taken aback.
"Come over here!" Ethan Laurent gestured to the spot beside him, reminding her.
"I prefer sitting in the back." Summer Ford ignored him.
"It's okay, I can just come over." Tonight, Ethan Laurent was unusually easy to negotiate with. He opened the car door and got out, opening her door and sitting beside her.
As soon as Summer Ford saw him approaching, she wasn't sure why, but even though his eyes showed no sign of danger, she reflexively wanted to open the car door and rush out.
But as quick as she was, Ethan Laurent was even quicker.
