A week passes since Kairi mentioned Sora, John was looking out for Lea to arrive on Destiny Islands so they could be taken to the World That Never Was. Soon the Dark Passage opens on the island and Axel comes out of it
John could feel how weak he was and sighs while thinking, 'We won't be able to hide our strength from him. Should I rather do something else?'
Axel walked on the sand feeling irritated by it when John grabbed his foot from under the sand and pulled him into it leaving only his head over the sand.
"What have you done to me?" asks Axel angry as John looked at him.
'It seems he can't free himself,' thinks John as he crouched in front of Axel and says, "Is that how you talk to your Ancestor?"
"Ancestor?" asks Axel as he wasn't Lea when John punches his head.
"Lea Crownguard, that is your real name. Got it memorized?" says John taunting Axel with his favorite phrase and gesture.
"I am Axel, not some Lea, you are talking about," says Axel as John hits him again.
"Why is your fist as hard as steel!?" shouts Axel as he was feeling pain when he suddenly felt salty water hit his face.
He looked in the direction of the sea and saw that the water was rising when John says, "It is getting dark that means the sea level will rise which means I am the only person that can save you from drowning."
The wave hit Axel's face again when John stood up and waves at Axel while leaving as he says, "Good Luck surviving the night."
"Hey wait! You can't let me here like that!" shouts Axel when John only turns his head and one eye landed on Axel.
Axel suddenly felt fear as John radiated killing intent which was slowly rising. This made Xemnas look like a child to Axel as John walked back to Axel who was trying to free himself.
"Are you afraid?" asks John as he looked at Axel was nervous.
"I killed more people than anyone else in this world," says John as clouds were gathering over their heads.
Thunder could be heard and lightning could be seen as lightning suddenly struck John which made Axel laugh while saying, "That's what you get for putting me in this position."
Axel when he begins to laugh only to be overtone by John who laughed louder than him as his body was suddenly radiating Lightning which he released into the sky.
Soon red lightning stroke him and John looked at Axel who now thought a monster was facing him and says, "You have a lot to learn about your Ancestry."
"But let's talk about a deal," says John as he grabbed Axel's head and pulled him out of the sand.
"You will take us to the World That Never Was and I will train you to become a real Crownguard. But first, you need to get your heart and body back," says John looking at Axel.
"My heart and body? How will I ever get them back?" asks Axel as John smiles at him.
"You already started the progress by looking for your little friend which is inside of Sora," says John as Axel was shocked that John knew about what was going on outside the world.
"How do you-" says Axel when John drops him.
"I am not from this world after all. I am here because I am forced to be here until the day I can return to the world I should be," says John as he took out a piece of paper on which he writes a seal on and hands it over to Axel.
"This should follow you even when your Nobody gets killed. Once you are human pour some blood over the seal and you will send to my side," says John as he walked to a boat that was upside down on the sand.
"Let's go get my wife and Kairi. Afterward, you will challenge Sora as it is written," says John as Axel was confused when John grabbed the boat and put it in the water.
He grabbed Axel and put him on the boat while he got a hold of the boat and swam towards the other island.
Once there Nesiara and Kairi were awaiting them as Kairi was wearing her fighting clothes and a cloak over them which hide her face.
"It seems our plan on playing weak was canceled," says Nesiara seeing John with Lea.
"Yes, he is too weak to kidnap Kairi and make it look believable," says John as Axel gets angry.
"Who is weak!" shouts Axel when he was eyed up by all three and he felt fear again.
"Yeah, I would stay quiet if I were you. The moment you are back being a human you will be trained to the bones," says Nesiara as her shoulders caught fire which slowly turned blue.
"Is everyone in this family crazy?" asks Axel thinking he entered the Lion's Den as he found out from who he inherited his obsession with Fire.
"Yes, everyone is crazy strong. Now open the Dark Passage," says John as he tied the boat to the harbor.
Axel does as ordered and they take the Dark Passage when Kairi suddenly gets pulled out of it by surprise making Nesiara jump behind her while grabbing her hand.
"What do we do now?" asks Axel seeing that they got separated.
"They will be fine. Bring me to the World That Never Was. Then we will look for their destination," says John as they continued walking in the Darkness when Axel sees Darkness trying to enter John's body only to be repealed.
"Why is the Darkness getting repealed?" asks Axel as John smiles.
"It's because I have a far greater Darkness inside my body that this Darkness wants to avoid. You have the same Darkness inside of you as has Kairi. Just that you haven't awakened it yet not like her," says John as Kairi could use the Devil Trigger but not the TDT.
"So I wouldn't need this coat if I awaken that darkness?" asks Axel as John node.
"Yes, but we will need my son's help to control the Light inside you. Kairi almost lost her Light because of my wife's recklessness. I don't want the same to happen to you," says John as they arrived at the World That Never Was.
"It is quite beautiful but what worries me the most is that up there," says John pointing at Kingdom Hearts.
"What do you mean?" asks Axel as John looks at him.
"Every time Kingdom Hearts appears in another Universe that is connected to this a disaster appears that they call Karma," says John as that was all he could cipher from all the books about both Universes.
"Does that mean that people in another Universe are fighting against a calamity because of what the organization is doing," says Axel as John nods.
"Yes, your Ancestor, my son, is fighting in the other Universe right now keeping it safe while we will keep this one safe until he arrives," says John as he turned to Axel and asks, "Do you want to become a Keyblade Wielder like Roxas?"
"Wait what did you just say?" asks Axel thinking that he heard it wrong.
"Do you want to be a Keyblade Wielder?" asks John again as Axel was confused.
"How can I be a Keyblade Wielder. I am a Nobody!" says Axel as John smiles.
"Wasn't Roxas also a Nobody? What about that girl, Xion? Wasn't she also a Wielder?" asks John making Axel take a step back.
"They are different than me," says Axel as he looked at the ground when John puts his hand on Axel's shoulder.
"Are you?" asks John as Axel looked at him.
"You remind me of someone I know," says John as he looked into Axel's eyes.
"He thought that he was the best when it came to deal with the dirty job since he thought that he could carry the burden of being called a traitor for killing those that he once called comrades.
He fulfilled his mission but everyone kept a close eye on him which made him feel out of place. The only people that didn't let him feel like that were a handful of people that he called friends," says John as Axel saw that John's eyes turned red and he fell into an illusion.
He saw the young John in the Bleach World as the Shinigamis kept a close look at him while his friends stayed true to him which were like he said a handful of people containing Urahara, Yoruichi, Harribel, Starrk, Lilynette, and Nelliel.
"You have lost two of your friends with only one of them remains," says John as Axel returned from the illusion.
"He as well as you will return to be humans after Sora has defeated you. But if you become a Keyblade Wielder," says John as he let go of Axel when he says, "You will be able to meet the other two again."
"Even if I want to become one. I don't know how it should be possible," says Axel as John smiles while looking at the sky.
"You might not know it but you and your friend Isa met a Keyblade Wielder when you were children in the Castle of Radiant Garden. It is the reason why you became guards there later on to set her free.
Her name was Skuld and she was a Keyblade Wielder that might have accidentally perform the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony on you both since she saw the innocence in you two," says John as Axel was surprised by that revelation.
"You should be able to summon a Keyblade as your friends did before you but before you attempt it," says John as he flicked his finger against his forehead making him feel pain.
"You need to get your heart and body back. Also, we need to find Kairi and Nesiara. Kairi needs to fuse with Namine to become one again so she can summon her Keyblade as well," says John as he walked in one direction when Axel catches up to him.
