While waiting for their food to arrive, Shen Yi Nian ended up talking about her job and how she was transferred to L City.
When she lowered her head again, Shen Yi Nian looked at her empty plate and realized that she had been talking about herself all the way. Although she knew that Li Jun Xuan was a quiet person, she felt guilty for talking too much.
Shen Yi Nian put down her cutleries and reached for the glass for a sip of water.
"I've been talking about myself for too long," Shen Yi Nian flashed an apologetic smile.
"That's okay. I do enjoy listening to you talking."
"Let's talk about you," Shen Yi Nian said. "Have you always wanted to join the police?"
Li Jun Xuan chuckled. "I guess, you could say so. My father was in the police and I grew up watching him. The police station in Z Town was smaller than in the cities. Back then, I often went to the police station to hang out."
